Literally a master class in how to perform a cover song ! Regarding the sound , i much prefer this type of production over some of the over produced sound you get with a studio album, this sounds so clear and natural !
I love them all they’re the queens of dynamics’s, whether it’s a cover or one of their own awesome songs, but Ale… As a bassist of many years I’m left stunned by the punchy tone and smooth flawlessness of Ale’s flow, she’s so damn good without going over the top or showboating. She’s got the timing, the feel, and the tone, she’s got it all.

I absolutely 100% knew you would really enjoy this, it just goes to prove how good musicians they are - I knew they would nail this even before I listened to it! But the result far exceeded my expectations, absolutely stunning, Pau’s drumming was restrained and well in the groove and Alé’s bass lines were crazy good - quite possibly the result of her having been playing Jaco Pastorius pieces for fun since she was 10! Dany; what can you say? Playing Dave Navaro’s guitar part and Alanis’s singing together so perfectly is just 🤯🤯🤯 Good to see you getting in the groove with it, if you’re anything like me it’s gonna be on loop for quite some time 😂

The Warning always come through. Ale's Bass is superb, Dany's vocals are so good, And Pau shows that she can do subtle if she wants to. I wonder if she had to go out and buy a pair of brushes to play this song or if she already had them. Don't think I've seen her use them in any other song. Video ending with a Roni Vocal too. I am a 56 year old grandfather that was raised on Zeppelin, Hendrix, Sabbath, etc. My 14 year old grandson MADE me listen (he's IN LOVE with Ale) and I saw them and thought (oh, they're babes) and then I LISTENED. There is nothing that I've heard from The Warning that is not excellent.They didn't use the graphic language that Alanis did, but man Danny hit those notes so well, Ale bass work, wow!! Pau is awesome
It's fun, that song and Torn by Natalie Imbruglia were the two songs that changed my highschool mates mind about a friend and I. Maybe I already told that story, but we were the metal guys, listening to Pantera, Sepultura, Canibal Corpse and other stuff like that. One day, we were on a trip, in a bus, Torn was on the radio, my friend and I sang so loud everyone was stunt, and then blank, some french songs were on the radio and I rarely sing french songs (or very specific ones), some made jokes about us metal head singing like teenage girls until You oughta know comes... The bus driver laughed so hard he put on the cd so we could sing every tunes :)
