This looks more like a setup to get on DCA. That he didn't filter to the front of the intersection is sus. I reckon there's a better than average chance the DC driver and Mr happy feet were in cahoots.
I too have ridden motorcycles for a long time (35 years), all I see is someone who is taking risks by not wearing appropriate motorcycle clothing, isn't in control of their bike while in traffic, and is more interested in playing up for the camera than being situationally aware. Squatting down behind a car at an intersection is not a very clever idea too. This person doesn't seem to understand (or appreciate) the seriousness and risks inherent to riding in traffic. At least not in this instance. But the fact he's dressed like he doesn't know how much crashing hurts suggests this is not a one off. Fingers crossed he grows out of it before regret does it for him.

And drop the offence for 5 and below as the only speeding that causes accidents is inappropriate speed for the conditions. They are herd animals and when the herd is on the move you must keep up it seems. Have seen this happen many times at dusk or at sunrise as the herds cross roads. 90+% of roos get killed at dusk/early sunrise with most of the rest during the night. Very few get hit during sunlight hrs.
@@saintsone7877 this is actually common. the roo is dazzled by the car headlights and wont move, but the second the headlights pass the kangaroo/wallaby etc says gtfo, in any direction, as fast as possible, often straight at the passing car..... Been there, done that....

You have to approach the police directly, if all they have to go on is the video alone and the driver you've caught on camera decides to fight the fine, if you aren't willing to testify in court to the authenticity of that video he's gonna get off and maybe even win costs off police.
If something particularly egregious is caught on cam which hasn't been reported it'll make the news with a public appeal for the dashcam driver to come forward.

10:00 I feel like a lot of australian drivers do this where they purposefully speed up just so they can honk their horn and make someone feel in the wrong. At the end of the day they could've both easily fitted as they both went at pretty much the same time. A bit of courtesy would go wonders here.
Yeah that scenario is just one that is sometimes unavoidable. Was absolutely no need to floor it, unless there was another car coming and the DC driver was trying to jump into a small gap, in which case, he brought it on himself anyway.

@@dmystify1381 Building Industry is so bad at the moment but that is mainly due to inspectors passing obviously bad construction without making the builder fix it first. If builders stopped getting payments until shoddy work was fixed at their expense they would hopefully slow down and do it right the first time. Amazes me what passes for a tradie nowadays. In my day they were called cowboys and slowly weeded out of the industry. Now they are the standard.

Anyone who holds a parking spot by standing in it should be fined. Make it the same as blocking traffic.

The thing about roaring down the emergency lane is; that's where all the road debris ends up. All the crap that falls of trucks, the bits that break off cars. Blow a front tire at 80-100 km/h and see how you go pulling up with a line of cars along side you - and a concrete barrier on your other side.

I'd be careful about swerving, you never know what nutjobs are going to do. Slowing down is usually safe & wise. I'd think before I'd veer off the side of the road.

I like European drivers, many are better trained and courteous. Aussies are more like Americans, sadly. Less responsible, more selfish. And the trend worsened when big 4WDs started being our fave vehicles.
Australian road discipline is very different. Selfish fuckwits rarely even warn you if there's a speed camera nearby.

Ahh... yet again, I do wonder. Multi lane road : The traffic has slowed to a crawl in most of the lanes, yet there is one lane where there is room to floor it to (at the very least), the maximum posted speed, if not more. Great , I'll just hoon down this lane ! ( if it were me I would be realising that someone who has been crawling along thinks the "empty" lane is totally free to just merge, and , hey indicator is optional !! ) I just think this is "not driving to the conditions" , same as if it is foggy or hailing etc. Yes , it might be legal , but my question is : is this good driving ?
hooning? rofl. They're just driving along in their chosen lane minding their own business. What's freakin TERRIBLE driving, is changing lanes into traffic which is going much faster, and forcing a line of people to slam their brakes on.

I slow down when there are roos about. I also slow down when the traffic conditions , such as what we are discussing occur.
