    5:39 so you made a random lane change on the exit of a roundabout, no signal, just wandered into their lane and then complain that they exist there, good work.

      Yup, not the smartest move to undertake but its a two lane exit so just stay in the lane you're in.

      @@MattF340He didn’t undertake though. He was in the left lane and exited in that lane. He didn’t come from behind the camper and then go to that lane before coming back in front of him. There are two lanes going off at that roundabout, the guy took the left hand lane and then the tw@t with the camera came off in the right lane before veering into the left. The red car did nothing wrong here.

      I can't believe the cammer submitted that and blamed the other driver. The other driver wasn't wise to pass, but that is only because they should avoid numpties like the cammer who change lanes without looking.

    At 40:20, Chris McArthur, if you could not have predicted how that was going to play out, you are either a newbie or just determined to "have your right of way!". You just know the 2 lanes converge into 1, but are just so determined not to end up behind the tanker, Takes much less energy for you to slow down and give the truck a break than for him to stop and allow your Lordship to proceed. I was thinking this too. As someone who has been in a car accident as a passenger driver, never underestimate the sheer fear and terror that runs through you when someone else takes dangerous liberties with you in the car. It's very selfish and unfair to do things like this especially when there's really no need for it either.

      @flanger890 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      Yeah but also, it was a bit over dramatic no matter what situation they were in. She's still panting afterwards even though the manouvre was executed well and safely. Based on where she sat in the car it might have indeed looked like a dangerous overtake but from the drivers side pov he could easily see a straight road with clear visibility and plenty of space to overtake. Panicking like that unnecessarily is more likely to cause the driver to lose focus and crash or make a bad decision. Best to stay quiet and voice your opinions on their driving afterwards and maybe take action against them.

    #14 Somebody doesn't understand how traffic lights work or the law. They didn't overshoot the stop line, they crossed the line on gcreen. As those vehicles crossed the line on a permissive light there is nothing for the camera to catch, those lights technically no longer apply to then. They have already crossed the line controlled by the light. Blocking the junction is an entirely different issue not enforced by that camera, but then they weren't blocking the junction either, so really, no issue.

    • @stevesales4263
      @stevesales4263 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@stevesales4263You have completely missed the point. The two cars crossed the line on green - your own footage shows this at 6:05 - and they were then caught by the traffic queue ahead of them. Rather than catching up with the black Ford Focus at the end of the queue, and blocking the road for traffic entering the junction from the left, the VW Golf made the correct decision to stop, thereby keeping the road clear for them. You might be correct if there was a box junction here, but there isn't, so you aren't.

    • @stevesales4263
      @stevesales4263 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @bruce9090 You are missing the point. Read the Highway Code. Rules pertaining to a yellow box are irrelevant in this case. The offence pertains to the rule already mentioned. The fact that they were caught by the queue that you allege, proves that their exit wasn't clear. Crossing on a green light is also irrelevant. I repeat read the Highway Code.

    • @bruce9090
      @bruce9090 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@stevesales4263I've read rule 176 (a few times...) and I'm confused as to why you maintain the drivers have breached it.
      'You MUST NOT move forward over the white line when the red light is showing.' The video shows that both cars crossed the stop line when the traffic light was on green, so this part of rule 176 does not apply. TSRGD regs 36 (1) (d) refers: 'the green signal shall indicate that vehicular traffic may proceed beyond the stop line and proceed straight on or to the left or to the right.'
      So it follows that your argument must then be based on its second sentence: 'Only go forward when the traffic lights are green if there is room for you to clear the junction safely.' 6:13 shows two lines of traffic. Joining the back of lane 1 would mean, yes, they would be blocking the intersecting road. However lane 2 has enough space behind its last car for another four, maybe even five, cars. So they were able to clear the junction safely: they simply made a choice not to join the queue with space behind it.
      As another poster commented: 'Neither car went through a red light so neither of them need worry and it’s not a box junction so they did well to sit back and let cross traffic through.'

    Thing is that being a responsible driver is reacting and adapting to unexpected hazards in order to keep yourself and others safe; not to mention avoiding a needless collision. So when a driver stupidly pulls across a lane or out a turning at the wrong time it creates a hazard. Yes it’s true they shouldn’t be in that position, but they are, and so we as responsible drivers should be adapting to that. By slowing down and managing the situation… Driving straight at this driver as if they aren’t there, just to prove a point because “They just shouldn’t be there!” and having something to upload from your Dashcam is the complete opposite of responsible….

    The driver who claims that the HGV driver pulled out in front of him, forcing him to stop, needs to watch the clip a few more times... The HGV remained stationary, signalling out, until your vehicle had stopped, Sunshine! Tick-good-star for letting him out though.😉

    #56. The other car entered the roundabout before you. Respect the lanes and you will do just fine.
    #89. Yep! A tractor turned on the road far enough in front so that you could safely slow down, just like it said in big letters on the pavement. It's also a reminder that you are not alone on ANY road.
    #92. I guess it's the last time she goes to visit the mother-in-law, if she continues to stay at the end of this road... 🤣😉
    #113. The mother should get a ticket for crossing on a red light, a warning for child endangerment, another ticket for use of a phone while walking/driving, and have her phone taken from her without the right to get a new one before two years. Damn cell phone era. 😡

    6:13 neither of them jumped the red light, both were clearly passed the line long before the red light. It's clear the green VW has stopped because it cannot progress without blocking the cross road, take note of the queue ahead. Ideally they should have stopped before the white line even on green however the minor mistake does not warrant points in this case.

    #89 At 41:19, you can clearly see the tractor has pulled out into the main road yet at no point in the 10 seconds it takes you to catch up to it do you do anything to adjust your speed, ignoring the crossroads hazard sign and the warning to slow. You overtake and pull back in front of the tractor like a twat too.

    #4, adaptive cruise control doesn’t mean the car will slow down automatically, it means if you go up hill the car will increase its revs to keep to the selected speed, it will cut your speed back when going downhill, but not on a flat run, engaging a brain cell is more appropriate in this case

    #117 You're eastbound going UP to the top Ivetsey Bank (137m) and have been going UP for the last 300m (130m at Spring Lane). The last down hill section was 900m prior to start of video at a dizzying height of 138m
    That road junction, which is quite clearly marked in advance with regular road signs, tourist signs for Boscobel House and White Ladies Priory, and the actual road markings creating a centre refuge plus the street lights (in the middle of open countryside) all quite clearly denote there is a potentially hazardous junction ahead even if you were unaware of how dangerous this stretch of road is.
    The red car which you'd seen for a full 10 seconds prior to passing could have positioned better, could have made the move a tad earlier/faster but you - a professional driver with far more experience - and having seen all these visible clues of danger ahead still decided to plough on at maximum speed.
