Don't be concerned about pencil marks coming in contact with food, there's no lead in ✏️, only graphite, which is non-toxic. I mean, I wouldn't consume a tonne of it , but it isn't lead . Loving the pantry series. It has really encouraged me to work through the dark recesses of my pantry and saving me money .
We've been doing the pantry challenge for a month now and my husband keep saying- "this doesn't suck at all". And I keep thinking ya buddy, wait for weeks 7 & 8 lol.
These recipes are SO helpful! My little grandson can not have much dairy. He is not as allergic as your son, but the poor little guy is intollerant. These dairy free recipes are so easy! Thank you for sharing them!❤
I recently found your channel and have enjoyed learning how you adapt to a dairy free household. Its very inspiring to see how you use food scraps, leftovers and things most people would throw out. Thanks for sharing!!
Happy Birthday David. Have a very blessed day. Its so nice that momma baked his cake. Yes, he is a great baker, would love to see some videos of him with you baking. How fun that would be. 💜🎂. God bless you all. Have a great weekend. 💜🎂🍰🧁🍦
Finally! I didn't know that EVOO was the stronger flavored oil - only knew that if it tasted like it does, how could the other oil be tolerated in a cake. I had it backwards. At 77 yo I finally learned the mystery was me, LOL. I love flavored olive oils and adore dipping a crunchy slice of bread in oil before but will now try regular olive oil for cooking. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!
Growing up my granny only used lard in her biscuits, and a trick she taught me when cutting them out don't twist the cutter just go straight down and up and they will rise and be fluffer.love all your recipes.thosr kids are amazing the the little boys playing with Hannah is so cute.thank you for all the time you spend on these videos.God Bless you and yours ♥️
I'll be continuing the pantry challenge through February with you! I only purchased milk and cream in January and some mushrooms for a canning project. I had way too much in the freezer and am working through that, as well as the flour. I know I can make it another month! Thanks for the inspiration, Jessica!
Every sunday I learned something. You are a great educator. I will freeze dry my avocados from now on. And not be wasteful. And sweet girl Hannah is looking very sweet. I see your daughter is sewing. Good for her. Imagine you have teenagers. Goodness me.
BAKER'S TIP TO CREATE A FLAT TOP ON YOUR CAKE. Cut strips of an old terry towel as wide as the cake pan is deep and long enough to wrap around the outside of the cake pan. Wet the towel strip and squeeze out just till not dripping. Wrap this around the outside of the prepared pan and pin in place with a safety pin. Pour cake batter and bake as usual. This prevents the outside edges from cooking before fully rising and allows for even rising across the cake!! 😉😉
Hi Jessica!!!! Glad to see this video!!! Thank you for all your hard work getting these videos out! You are a Rockstar! Happy Home Church Day!!! Your Michigan Fan and Friend Araminta ❤❤❤❤
I took a Wilton cake decorating class about 40 years ago. I was 7 months pregnant with my son. No need to slice off any of your cake layers. Biggest tip we got was to let the cake cool, then put in the freezer til ready to frost it. This will make your cake more moist, and you can use a pastry brush to brush off any loose crumbs so that they don't end up in your frosting.
I’ll be keeping an eye out on IG when you share info on the grease pot - hope you mention it here on your channel too. My mom had a simple “crock” with a lid she kept in our fridge. She has since passed away and no idea what may have happened to that crock. She was a loving mother AND amazing cook!
You always have the best ideas. I love to see what everyone does during pantry challenge and how the one rule is there are no rules. Don’t what is best for your family
In the old days, waaaaaay back when, my favourite crisps in the UK (your potato chips) were tomato flavour. Until they were discontinued. I wonder if shaking freeze dried tomato powder with the salt would be worth a try.
We grew up having foods that couldn’t have dairy because my father was allergic, so I know exactly of what you speak. I never really thought about it as a kid, but certainly did when I started cooking for my own family. To this day we all love my mom’s pumpkin pie that doesn’t use dairy over ones that do. I do think it’s easier to cook for allergies than what it was years ago, and am thankful for the different things available to replace what you can’t have. You do a great job making food for your family with those restrictions.
Thank you for sharing all these healthy snacks, and of course all your meals. I really do appreciate you sharing all your meals, I get stuck on details and you make it so much simpler to put things together and take away some of my fears with this. I always appreciate how you don’t waste anything, I’ve learned a lot. God bless you and your family.
Walls of Jerico ❤ how sweet is that. So fun!!! When my babies were little 😍 I called deviled eggs, Angel 😇 eggs! 😉 love your videos Jessica!!! I will be adding my enchilada sauce video up soon!
I love making vanilla. I was blessed with a gift of Hawaiian and Tahitian vanilla beans. So I made vanilla with evan Williams bourbon and got the best vanilla ever! I brew for 6 to 8 months, so always have bottles❤ brewing ❤❤
Hey Jessica, I just wanted to thank you for sharing your home with us, as well as for creating this challenge. I have been participating and the growth in my YT channel has been great! Thank you for creating something so simple and inclusive for all creators to join. You are a blessing!
Man I hate I missed the live. Got my peppers n herbs started here in NE AR! We really like ghost peppers and we treat them the same as our other peppers. I don’t grow sweet taters anymore I trade okra n tomatoes for sweet potatoes now! Works out for us both! Entertaining n educational as always! God bless!
Little Hanna is walking! And Levi's adorable smile. David is now 15, wow. I have really enjoyed the challenge this year. Although we have a dishwasher, my husband has been purchasing disposables to assist me since I have medical challenges. But I'm having fun. I'm saving bacon grease and using it for eggs. Our chickens are still laying and so are the ducks. So we have plenty of eggs. I can eat duck eggs but not chicken eggs. I also have food allergies and I understand what you mean by finding alternatives for allergens. My biggest food challenge is for our autistic adult daughter. When preparing our meals we have to come up with something similar just for her and at times it is not easy. But I have somehow manage to do so. My husband is a big help when it comes to suggestions for her meals. Well, I'll stop chatting. Loved your pantry groceries; so amazing. *Hugs*
Feels so weird watching this on Wednesday night instead of Sunday night when it becomes available. Busy week. Have a blessed week & thanks for allowing us into your home.
My husband makes the best popcorn on the charcoal grill after he has grilled hamburgers or steaks. We use our cast iron Dutch oven with the lid with bacon grease and popcorn. It is so good.
I had to quit using cast iron pans due to not being unable to lift them without dropping them. I miss the taste of things cooked in them. I never have bacon grease because I only use precooked bacon since there is only me cook for. Bless you and yours wonderful wonderful family
Cooked bacon freezes great. I like to cook the whole package and freeze the extra. It crisps right up in the microwave. And I get bacon grease to cook with 😊
Jessica, I look forward to your videos. I exercise for an hour before church on Sundays (empty nesters) and watch you! It helps fill the time. Haha, it’s turned that time into a treat! I’m making beef barley soup today using some tough steaks, barley, home canned beef broth and carrots. Can’t wait!
I love seeing how all your children play so well together! I wanted to share that if you crumple your parchment into a ball first, it's easier to get it to keep its shape in the casserole dish. Have a wonderful week!!
I love that little grease pot! I am not on Instagram, but I would love to purchase one. Could you possibly announce in your community tab when you begin selling them?
Going into month 2 with you this year. Think I am gonna make it. I am making all kinds of notes on what I need to can up this upcoming year. Getting creative with the turkey. Not a big fan of it but it was what I have the most of because of the awesome sales.
Good morning. I love the three rivers pantry challenge. We’ve been enjoying our home canned meals in a jar because they are so hearty and have been keeping us full and warm. I noticed with our nutrient dense food that we’ve canned we are staying fuller longer too so we’re actually eating less.
Good morning over the pond 😊! I love your video’s and the pantry challenge. I do it full on in January and than in February I start buying some staples back, so I don’t have to get too much at a time later, but I always have a post-it with things that still need used up and I allow fresh veggies in my pantry challenge even in January. I always rediscover some forgotten things and isr this time to inventory 🤗🙏🏼🍀💕
Love the popcorn/apple combo. Our family pairedpop ornaments with oranges or orange juice. Another fantastic and informative video. Happy birthday, David- a little late!
One tip, I would give you on the biscuits… Don’t twist the cutter when cutting them, because it seals the edges of the biscuits and prevents them from rising to their full potential
We have been eating from our pantry after watching several videos from different you tubers doing the pantry challenge, this has saved us so much money, we are also doing this in February, we only buy milk from store and eggs from Amish the rest is from our pantry, our first trip to grocery store will be March 1, we now are thinking about how much more we want to plant in our garden this spring to continue this life style, keep up producing more videos, I have learned so much,
Good morning Jessica, thanks for another awesome video. Your home canned apple BBQ sauce sounds amazing. Can you share your recipe or where you got your recipe? I would like to can some. Thank-you so very much!!! I am enjoying all your innovative ideas in the kitchen. Thanks so much for sharing.
Such a great family with the greatest mom having the greatest meals every week. I loved this Jessica. Ty so much. It was so good seeing Adam also. Happy belated bday David.
I love watching your videos, I learn something new everytime. I have freeze dried avacado and I wasn't pleased with hydrating them in water, so I will be trying out your method. It looks much more flavorful .😊
I always enjoy your videos. You inspire me to be more intentional with my persevering and cooking from my pantry. I'm just curious why you don't cook with dairy free cheese. No worries if you'd rather not comment. Keep up the great work!!
Thank you so much for sharing your recipes! I do have a questions about the cinnamon rolls. You said in the video that you added eggs, but in the written out recipe, you don't have eggs listed. I can't wait to try these! They sound delicious!
Love waking up Sunday mornings to a video from you to watch. I use a brown sugar and cinnamon mixture in my cinnamon rolls. So yummy a bit richer than a average one.
Such comfort food making the tuna noodle and beef blueberry muffins and the bacon grease in popcorn topped with apples love all the snacks an recipes thank you ❤

Even if it's "junk food" like your potato chips 6 without all of the preservatives & chemicals they are still healthy. I don't do dairy either and refuse to buy the "vegan cheese" or whatever. I use a lot of nutritional yeast for the cheese favor with cashews for the fat. Was thinking about wild rice - I also like to put it in soups. I make a lot of soup with leftovers or things I've canned. I started saving my bacon grease just for popcorn because of watching your videos. It's amazing! And now my bacon grease doesn't go to waste. Thank you ❤

Me too. Graphite is simply natural carbon. Zero risk. Love your channel, Jessica. ❤
I’m a professional chef and vanilla is always measured with my heart.
Love your saying, "Time is a thief"... why yes it is, my baby is turning 25 today!
You could never be accused of being lazy. Your videos are top notch.
