I can't unhear it now, its such terraria music. It sounds like if there was a new 'corruption'-esque biome added, it has that same evil sounding but still chill vibe
Indeed! Also, the Pickford brothers had gotten Chris Sievey (the guy who played Frank Sidebottom) on board to voice Plok. Sadly, the SNES is not as good with voice acting as an arcade cabinet is. Interestingly enough, Chris had actually offered to do it for free.
In light of recent news, we someday might actually see the original version running on Rare's RAZZ hardware, as a cartridge of Fleapit was recently found inside the Play Boy (a handheld under development by Rare that was a scaled-down version of the RAZZ board) at a British gaming museum. The Pickford brothers gave permission to members of the MAME team to dump the .ROM and somehow make an emulator of the RAZZ board, as they want to see the original version running again.
RIP Geoff Follin, you blessed us with some of the greatest VGM OSTs and I'll forever be grateful for that. You were truly a master composer and I thank you for your work.
This reminds me of Jungle Hijinks from Donkey Kong Country, like Tim had to submit one track, but decided to do several and turn them all in instead, and they just chose to mash them all together, and it just works.
This entire soundtrack is off the charts. I only wish I had played this game as a kid, or y'know, Nintendo had made the game so it would be as good as the OST.
ive never heard of this games ost before today and when i say my jaw dropped. what do you mean it went from evil mischevious villains lair to calming beach hotel ambience. and then to evil mischevious villains evil henchman
Does anyone know any songs that are like that blissful bit in the song between 1:03 and 1:56? I really want to listen to more songs like these and unfortunately I'm not a huge fan of the rest of this song 😔

@@pigeondamigion569 I understand. I just have a habit of making comments like this since many others speak as if one actually did come before the other when it's vice versa.

Ah, Flea Pit, AKA "The song that can't decide which genre it wants to be".
thats the whole soundtrack
There’s plenty of that kinda songs out there.
Fun fact: Plok was originally gonna be an Arcade-only game called Fleapit.
That would’ve been hella interesting to play

@@85percentnation i would love to hear what plok's actual voice sounds like, instead of the single "WAHH!!" he makes when he takes damage
@@davidthecommenter Judging by the planned voice actor, he'd probably sound Mancunian.

The rare but occasional THX-esque sounds can be heard in the background
i'm commenting here to put you back in the rabbit hole of plok music because i swear you commented on every plok ost post like 2 years ago
Whoa just transforms into the most chill reggae like track.
The beginning is VERY reminiscent of Zelda 3's dark world dungeon theme
Zelda 3?
Welfz Twingo Furs A Link to the Past.
I figured it was A Link to the Past, just never saw a someone calling it Zelda 3.
INDEED
More like one of the songs from Equinox.
He uses the fucking Pink Floyd fill on the drums to get into the reggae section
Was NOT expecting that change in mood
This honestly sounds like something you'd hear in a Doom 2 wad
0:00-1:02: Meanwhile, at Castle Terror...
1:02-3:12: Relax-o-matic hypnosis music slowly turning into haunted house
You can defiantly hear some Pink Floyd inspiration on this track

It does, but I prefer the treatment Returns gave to them. Having them separate in separate levels really got both to shine.

I love the beginning key changes. Something makes it sound scary, yet epic. Kind of like Plok doesn’t recognize this place, yet he knows it is there.
Absolutely insane.
