Over the years, I wasn’t really a fan of the song Amazing Grace, but as I grew older, matured, got saved and listened to Elvis’ version, I learned to love it. It’s no version like his, and I am glad that I listened and know his version. Today marks 47 years since he left us. May his legacy live on forever! ❤🕊️🕊️8/16/2024

Some people don't realize of how good of a gospel singer Elvis was.
It's because they can't grasp how honest/personal he is when he sings it. You either feel it or you don't.

My grandmother , who lived to be 103, had an album of Elvis singing gospel songs back in the 70-80s. I don't think she even knew who Elvis was. It amazed me. His gospel songs have so much depth to them. They are amazing! When my father died, I had a pastor who played the violin. We had him play it at my father's funeral. Nothing more beautiful than "Amazing Grace."

yeah, I just hope he was genuine later in his years and got his heart right with God, just cause someone says they have faith in Jesus doesn't mean that they are truly living for him or right with him, and if they truly did, they would keep his commandments and be born again of the spirit! anyway all I can say is I hope he made it...

Today I watched the movie "90 Minutes in Heaven" and heard a song that touched my heart. I searched and found out it was the song "Amazing Grace" by Elvis Presley. The modern impetuous society makes it impossible for us to calm down and express our souls through songs.

there comes a point when you look at somebody's body of work as a whole and it's not just about the 20 number had or the fact that he has close to 40 top 10 hits or the fact that he's won 3 Grammy's 4 gospel music or the fact that he was nominated 14 times or not even the fact that he was the first ever crossover artist ever. it's when you listen to how he was able to sing every different style and form of music and do it at another level that I've never seen anyone else accomplish when you look at all of that it's clear to see and to say that he is the best.

This was played at my mums funeral in 1995 when I was 10. She died from cancer and in a horrible way too. Every time I hear this song it brings very sad feelings, obviously from her passing but from the torment I got from kids in school and a nasty teacher that said it was my fault she died. I used to hide at lunch crying due to it. The teacher got fired eventually but it has left a big scar emotionally.
