Appreciate the reminder. I've taken up mma and Filipino stick fighting hoping it could help defend me in the street. Wish I could find something practical to learn.

Awesome point. I've done BJJ and MMA for 20 years. Self defense got me in to it all. I really like Tony Blauer's stuff.

"I have gun, you don't. I win" is a good strategy to keep in your repertoire

Interesting video. Indeed experience and training are very different. Martial arts and self defense are very different activities, I’d be curious to hear your feedback on self defense approaches like Krav maga -I’m not aware of other self defense approaches, I heard Russians have some but never tested them

Why don’t you bring this reality check to an individuals channel who goes by “Ed Lattimore” the guy talks about “fighting” like grown men in their 30’s & 40’s are supposed to use it as a means of communication as if we’re all still in highschool & we’re all walking around being stalked by “bullies” as if we all live in a 1980’s teen movie. This is 2024, the unfortunate truth about self defense is, all it takes is one hotheaded teenager or adult for that matter with something to prove to put someone’s lights out forever. “Self defense” as we knew it, is dead, it’s more like an anything goes approach nowadays.
