Heard others use the word smooth and not sure what they mean. My stock drivers are smooth. To me the Juggernaut is just a large gearing change. There's still gear reduction after the belt shift. Ends up around 1.5:1. They also say there's less belt wear. There better be less belt wear. The engine and drive train should love that big of a gearing change.
I would say you are correct on all counts. It is indeed “smooth.” It is one long gear change like you describe. It took a while to dial everything in correctly, but I don’t burn through belts at all. I’ve had one belt for a couple of years now.
I think I used the short key that came with mine. If you want a longer key, head over to your local Ace hardware store and they’ll have a longer length.
Yeah, it’s definitely not a logical purchase, but I’ve saved thousands of dollars in car repairs because I learned so much building go karts. I fix all of my cars myself, because building karts helped me understand engines. 👍👍👍
@@lagokartguy1176 Very nice! Learned a lot myself from wrenching on GX200 clones. I’ve actually got some ideas for “detuning” Juggernaut style drivers for use in governed engines.
Yes, the Juggernaut and “Amazon converter” are one and the same. Except, I can return it to Amazon if things don’t work out-not the case for other powersports dealers. Yes, there are lots of links but you’d be surprised how many people ask me what equipment I used for this build.

Did you get the full length key? The one sent with mine is mebbe 3/4 inch long

The key that came with it was it too short??
I think it worked fine. It’s still on there, going strong!
Maybe in a few more years these will be $50. Especially considering they can build an entire engine for $100.
