@@Justin-og9gu I think it wouldn’t be out of the question. Get people that are traveling to Epic Universe to also drive an hour to visit the only RMC in the state and a giga? Yeah the new parks in the Middle East, Asia and Europe are going crazy with new, expensive and ambitious coaster projects. For that reason, I reckon the next giga will go there and not to North America
I do not think, that we will see the GIGA coaster in Europe or Asia. - Europe: I do not believe, we will see one in Europe as different, they are not interested in world record hunting in this form, they want to get the world best coasters and something different and interesting. So something, Intamin, CGI and especially now Mack Rides (and others) are giving them, regular very good hyper coasters (Mack, Intamin B&M), wooden coasters (as CGI), Strykers (MACK), extreme spinning coasters (MACK), multi launch water coaster (2026, new by MACK). And everything else, what is crazy, new different and well themed. So no for Europe. Please note, Spain is a little bit different...perhaps Poland but I still do not think we will see it in Europe. - Asia: Economy in China is...much more worse than anyone has regular till now recognized. And they have second most coasters and still no GIGA. Japan will not hunt for GIGA. All others, till now not. So no. - I agree with you and the Middle East. They are world record hunting because they want to hunt for world records. Depends a little bit of the development of the global economy in next years. Hunting for GIGA, GIGA, ULTRA ULTRA e.g. Higher, higher bigger bigger.... Typical for US, Middle east, in part China but not for the rest of the world. The rest of the world is hunting for the best theme park experience and this includes theming.
@@Nobodyisperfect-us6pk energylandia exists. Other than that I can ageee with you on Europe. And most of the major parks in China have loads of money to invest - they have bought huge B&M coasters, huge Mack coasters and even an S&S 4D which are some of the most expensive coasters on the market so they definitely have the budget. Also I think these will get before the US will because the US chain parks (six flags) probably won’t make the investment into one
Good point about the giga and hyper being similar in price. I would say it is a little too simplified to take diamondback and adjust for inflation. If diamondback were built today it would be a similar price to candymonium or mako. At least those are newer examples-technology and choice of elements as well as considering any records they may want to reach for an innovative design to stay competitive, would all drive the price up.
If you've ever rode Levi (Leviathon) or watched videos of people who have it's clear that Levi, the first B&M Giga, is better then Orion but not quite Fury 325. You can feel the speed.
Living in fargo area its nice to have a drive to many parks, closest valleyfair but wof is an easy drive, adventureland, lost island , gurnee all resonable road trip parks
I think the giga dive concept is worth mentioning for this too. Cedar Fair/Six Flags seem pretty insistent on installing one of these at some point. They've been sent out in surveys for a ton of parks now, and i think they should be a good bit cheaper than more traditional gigas. I also think that if the new chain has a good relationship with Vekoma, I could see them building their first giga in the 2030s. The hyper concept they released for Energylandia has a ton of potential, and I think a giga from them would have potential to be the best coaster in the world (while also being much cheaper than B&M).
The West Coast sorely needs one as most of these are on the Eastern half of the United States. I'd love to see one in Las Vegas, not necessarily even connected to any theme park company!
imo if the rumors about ka at NJ closes next year or the year after, if they don't top thrill 2 it (kinda depends on this upcoming year) it would make so much sense to put a giga after greenL closes. I could also see a world were green L closes, gets replaces by a world breaking Dive, its kinda the only major coaster there missing now outside of a gigia, If they do replace GreenL with a Dive and Ka2 happens, Nitro closing for a giga would also make a ton off sense, wouldn't take up much more space, u could use the same Manufacture (bnm) and move a near 25 yearold coaster for a new taller more improved one
Nah, its their fault. Theres just 2 places in Ohio that have managed to suck up the entirety of Ohioan fun. Ohio is on average just as good as any other state but due to the extra strong cedar fair presence the rest of the state must balance it out.
I live near Carowinds and Six flags over GA about an hour and 45 from both. So I got the best giga (even though it's mid tier for me) and one of the best hypers if not the best one with Goliath
After the 200ft and 300ft barriers were broken, people quickly realized that you don't need to spend that 25 million to bring in a top tier coaster. Lik3 maverick for example. Doesn't make sense to build something that only 1 percent of the population enjoy. Most park goers prefer a soon to be Wrath of Raksasha for example than an intimidator 305. By a margin of 10 to 1
True but having that as a marketing thing gets people to the park. "Ride the huge massive giga coaster biggest in the area" thing draws gp in. I do agree you that height or loss of money doesn't make a good ride, but most gp do like the gigas besides i305
Everybody thinks gigas are not being build because of how they are getting more expensive but if gigas are geting more expensive then every other kind of coaster is going to go up in price to. So this is just a new economy and the reason I think people are not building gigas is because of lack of land.
I really think the only parks that have a real chance of getting a giga in the future are Magic Mountain and maybe Great Adventure. These two parks have the space and bring in enough attendance to justify spending 40+ million for a giga. Would love to include BGT to the list, but I just don't see them forking out that kind of money.
Maybe BGT gets the RMC trex - think about it, iron Gwazi was pretty inexpensive for a hyper coaster and was extremely successful, who’s to say they wouldn’t go with the same company?

What about Worlds of Fun? That park has plenty of extra room for a Giga. In fact, perhaps they should consider adding one by B&M for the upcoming 2026 World Cup in North America. Plus, who wouldn’t wanna see a Morgan Hyper and a B&M Giga in the same park? I know I would.
They should of sold that park to Sea World. Maybe they would of made a high grade park oit of it!! Ceader Fair shows no love for there have alot of room parks that can expand.
Millie isn't what it used to be with the slow lift motor it has now. Rode it two days ago in the rain though. It was much better with the reduced friction.
B&M 4 across gigas are slow and sluggish feeling. Diamondback at ki is a much better coaster than Orion. Love the Intamin 2 across gigas! Lets get a giga woodie somewhere. 👍😲
To be fair, if you're going to adjust cost for inflation, you need to adjust materials used for innovation. A hyper could still see a similar reduction in cost, as there's no reason to believe a modern hyper wouldn't take advantage of the same structural advantages that are available nowadays. So, modern hyper with less materials is still going to be substantially less than a modern giga with less materials. I wonder if that's why the hyper/giga Orion argument exists. You wouldn't build to 287 and just a 300ft drop when the opportunity to build a world class giga is there, especially the topography advantage. I suppose that could also be that, being the little sister park, KI won't ever overshadow CP.
You won’t see a giga because of lsm and multi launches. Sorry. It’s just not economical to build up that high anymore when you can launch to get the same speeds
I don’t think they have the space, but that’d be epic. They also have 2 hyper coasters, and have added 2 coasters in the past 4 years, so I really doubt it’d be them. I would bet Dorney or SFGAd would be more likely get one.
I like 305 better then Fury but to be fair i think fury is objectivly the better coaster for the normale rider beside for just one turn everything works on fury and it has a lot more elements then 305. I must say Orion and millium force aren't worth the investments in my opnion. Well i liked diamond back good enough. Doesn't matter to me if its 250 feet or 300+ its all about the layout. Heck give me good multilaunch coaster and i'm pretty happy
Besides maybe one on the west coaster like SFMM or Knotts, I honestly doubt they'll come back. They are so expensive, and why build something so tall, that you have to get so many permits for, that is so expensive, when you could build a solid hyper or mega that's half the price and brings in more customers. They have to balance between thrill and family. They can't always build the most insane coasters like they used to. It's just not sustainable.
I'm two hours from Cedar Point and three hours from King's Island. I've been going to both since I was six and will be turning 40 soon. As crazy as this sounds, I am bored with both. After you've ridden certain rides so many times, the thrills are gone. Millennium Force first drop still gets me, but everything else is just blahhhhh now. Really wish Universal Studios and Disney World could magically switch out for CP and KI. Steel Vengeance, Maverick, Gatekeeper and Millennium Force are the only rides I go for. At KI, really, I drive three hours for two or three rides. Orion, Diamondback (not that good) and Banshee.
Dunno why you'd say you're jealous of being by Cedar Point. Millennium Force is the worst giga. I've heard some interesting rumors about a giga at Busch Gardens Tampa of all places. I'm cautiously optimistic.
Here's my take. GIGAs were the hot new thing and then the economy went in the dumpster. When the economy improved and parks were ready to spend big money again, there were brand new coaster ideas hitting the market. A few ups and downs in the market and changes in coaster trends....then we arrive in the summer of 2019. Now that parks are getting their legs back up under themselves post covid and the economy is amazing, parks are looking to go big to attract audiences looking get wowwed.... And GIGAs have a second life. Yes. There are parks without physical space to do a giga justice. Yes, there are parks with zoning limitations which make GIGAs not even an option. And yes, there are parks which were never in the running for a giga because those parks don't operate with giga budgets...sadly. Plenty of parks which could have GIGAs don't have GIGAs yet, and we should see that starting to change.
I305 didn’t turn out well, and I don’t think Cedar Fair has a good relationship with Intamin. I’d love to see a giga come to a park closer to where I live that isn’t 4+ hours away (northeast). Closest is Virginia, and that’s technically the south :/
Gimme some next gen Intamin gigas... those B&M gigas are a tad boring. I experienced Fury for the first time this past spring, and I was a bit let down. It definitely did not live up to the hype... I actually prefer Leviathan. I still prefer ol' Milly over the Leviathan and Fury.
@@SharpCinema Leviathan certainly is a fun ride, good air time. Nice thing about the gigas is that they don’t have the silly helixes found on B&M hypers.
Gigas are really overrated imo, a park can get a really good coaster for way less money and they take up way too much space. As much as we all want a giga somewhere, it's likely not going to happen.
California's Great America was worthy of a Giga but Cedar Fair made the mistake of selling the land it stands on. SMH. In hindsight that was a poor move because they could've moved many of the clone rides at Discovery Kingdom down to Great America after the merger.
@@superiorisbadgaming That's not the reason. Downtown San Francisco is built on sunken ships from the gold rush. What happened is they changed priorities when Covid happened and then sold the land Great America is built on to real estate developers. If anything, they changed their mind because of height restrictions from the city as well as nearby offices complaining about the potential noise from the Rollercoaster. Companies tried to get Gold Striker closed because they said it was too loud during work hours. .
the park that desperately would need the giga is Dorney. that park has 0 memorable rides. it needs that ride that will have people come and come back. id never go back to that park, especially with hersheypark and SFGA both only an hour or so away. dorney is almost always deserted
GREAT ADVENTURE NEEDS A GIGA!!!!! personally it would be inane to see like a 300 food RMC like Zadra or Gwazj at great adventure man, even an initamin monster like I305 or velicicoaster but maxed up in height. regardless , the park needs it now more than ever.
Don’t get your hopes up about “the new Six Flags” throwing lots of money at huge rides like Cedar Fair did in the past. I’ve seen a lot of delusional optimistic takes from prominent enthusiasts, but these companies did not merge so they could then make a bunch of huge investments. They did it because they’re both in a bunch of debt and they want to cut costs. I know many of the parks are not right next to each other, but the reality is magic mountain and cedar point were competitors as they’re both destination parks. Now that they’re owned by the same company they don’t need to worry about keeping up with one another. Same goes for magic mountain and knott’s.
Well there are few out of the way parks that defenitly could us some tlc i think Valleyfair! is the prime candidate. That park could really use a nice new coaster doesn't have to be a Giga. One of the new gen Vekoma's woyld already be a big improvement.

Orion was built 4 years ago and steel has gone up even more.
gotta love tariffs
@@GreatAmericanCoaster Government Democrat spending mostly.
i know its not happening but silver dollar city or dollywod would be awsome
My problem with Gigas is that the 2 that I have ridden have the first drop and that’s it.
You won’t see a giga because of lsm and multi launches. Sorry. It’s just not economical to build up that high anymore when you can launch to get the same speeds
I can't see another one being made in the USA. Just because the cost is so much.
WE WILL SEE A GIGA AT SIX FLAGS JERSEY
I hope Hersheygets one
I don’t think they have the space, but that’d be epic. They also have 2 hyper coasters, and have added 2 coasters in the past 4 years, so I really doubt it’d be them. I would bet Dorney or SFGAd would be more likely get one.
Think they’re fine with the two hyper coasters.
I have one in my home park
I’m a lil spoiled with I305
Something to note is that if the company builds a low to the ground giga they can make it pretty cheap with little supports
Worlds of fun please
It's just not sustainable.
my homepark is PHL; does not realy need a giga, my other two homeparls tho, Tover and Moviepark, sure, give them one!
Depending on how things shake up with Six Flags Qiddiya...
Why would that have anything to do with it six flags don't have anything to do with that park there getting paid to use the name thats it
I'm two hours from Cedar Point and three hours from King's Island.
Would much rather see another intiman giga before I would a B&M..
Levi is awesome - haven't been on Milly but hope to soon
@@SharpCinema Leviathan certainly is a fun ride, good air time. Nice thing about the gigas is that they don’t have the silly helixes found on B&M hypers.
No one wants to work with intamin on a coaster that size here lol
I think silver dollar is getting a giga
I’ll believe it when I see it
Gigas are really overrated imo, a park can get a really good coaster for way less money and they take up way too much space.
They werw supposed to get Orion, but due to earthquakes in Cali it went to KI
@@superiorisbadgaming That's not the reason. Downtown San Francisco is built on sunken ships from the gold rush. What happened is they changed priorities when Covid happened and then sold the land Great America is built on to real estate developers.
If anything, they changed their mind because of height restrictions from the city as well as nearby offices complaining about the potential noise from the Rollercoaster. Companies tried to get Gold Striker closed because they said it was too loud during work hours. .
More Gigas? In THIS economy? Yeah right.
the park that desperately would need the giga is Dorney. that park has 0 memorable rides. it needs that ride that will have people come and come back. id never go back to that park, especially with hersheypark and SFGA both only an hour or so away. dorney is almost always deserted
SFMM can use a giga...
SFMM can use a much needed overhaul...
There are only 6 gigas
7*......red Force, although a launch, is still 300 ft, so it counts as a full circuit giga.
@@seanlewis1148 I was making fun of Orion not red force
@@BlaineBasillol
@@Random_Eebs it’s true

GREAT ADVENTURE NEEDS A GIGA!!!!!
personally it would be inane to see like a 300 food RMC like Zadra or Gwazj at great adventure man, even an initamin monster like I305 or velicicoaster but maxed up in height. regardless , the park needs it now more than ever.
I doubt we’ll ever see a 300 foot RMC but I would LOVE to see a B&M giga at great adventure
Embarrassing....I haven't been on I305 yet....😢....
I FINALLY got on it last month and I was really kinda let down, its a good ride but it's just so overhyped about everything including the intensity
@joeblow8846 hmmm..interesting
Um yeah, I don't think Six Flags Great America would benefit from one
Why wouldnt they?
@@UnownArceus Like, do we really need another coaster? Especially with land running out? And already having Raging Bull too
@@UnownArceusThe park is in Waukegon air space.
They absolutely would. We still need a stand out coaster. Just get rid of eagle, we have one of the highest attendances, we really do need it

"If you were to compare Behemoth and Leviathan..."
Pretty sure Jewish mythology got that covered already :D
Give SFOG/Six Flags Over Georgia a giga or else I strike
They don’t deserve it
@@Random_Eebs true they need a (Vacoma boomerang) family coaster or a good wooden coaster cause great American scream machine is so rough, but I want a giga so bad😭
