The people's hero. Dr. Newaz is the absolute best. He is what all medical practitioners should be. It is so encouraging to see someone who believes in his work so much that he undergoes it himself and shares the experience. #YeahBuddy
I imagine being a patient can have some impact on your approach to your patients as your journey with experiencing expansion as an adult goes along. Very cool. If you use a reverse head gear, would love to see what you use and what your thoughts are.
First of all, you guys rock! After years of researching maxillary skeletal expansion, I think I’ve found my doctors 👍😊 If I can give some advice that I’ve learned: most patients LOVE rubber bite blocks. When you insert it, and they get to relax their muscles, and the jaw is held open wide the same amount the entire time; it makes it easier on the practitioner AND the patient. Of course, you may need to remove every so often to give a break, but over-all, they offer a definite value.
Awesome. Can’t wait to see the progress! I’m wondering, can you swap out the FME for another one, if you hit the limit with the initial FME, but require more expansion?ie. Maybe you can leave the existing 10 screw-hardware that is anchored to the palate, and just swap it out (re-bolt-on) new FME that will allow more expansion? Maybe I should patent the idea first before bringing it up here ;-) I thought of that question early-on in the video. Someone else just asked the question at the 55 min mark. Glad to see you can swap for another expansion module if indicated 👍👍
I’m wondering if there’s any negative consequences from closing the mouth down on the suction during the palatal pizo cutting…would negative pressure of suction when close mouth on suction cause nasal membrane to be sucked down into mouth?
Hi C thanks for asking! He went to work today and saw patients lol. General mild dull pain, managed so far by one dose of ibuprofen today when we got off the plane. He thinks the hardest part of his week will be the talking that comes with the job
