- Howdy friends and welcome to another Subnautica challenge run! Today, the goal is to play through and eventually complete Subnautica without taking any damage! I'll be lowering my health down to one percent and seeing if I can get through this underwater paradise! Get ready to be seriously annoyed with every source of damage!

For anyone curious about the console commands I use - I sometimes skip farming for basic resources like titanium/copper which just take up time :)
you can finish most games without damage so.... it's technicly pointless but fun to watch :D (ah yes my old friends the tiger plant and extigust fire you need to make sure the glow is gone)

@@andrewb3760 it is the wrecks spawning in, and when they spawn in it sometimes does this to alert the player
realising how long it takes for the game to load each time makes me have so much respect for bacon ngl

Wait until you find out about DarkViperAU . He is a GTA speedrunner that does a lot of fun and difficult challenges. Pacifist% (Complete GTA with least kills possible) and his prbly hardest one is OHKO (One hit K O) If he takes damage ONCE during any part of the game he restarts FROM START. it took him multiple months to complete it

I find it funny because In the beginning you take damage when you wake up in your life pod so basically you would lose before you could even pick up the fire extinguisher

This is gonna be a fun series! Also, you can use the set damage command to make it so every creature one-shots you permanently--It'll make it a little easier than having to manually take damage every few minutes.

Last Time I Saw A Warper I Threw A Beacon At It's Face With A Propulsion Cannon.

It is a common phenomenon for one to feel a sense of unlimited power when first piloting a prawn suit
If the alien gun spike thing made you take damage,you’d be screwed.

I'm glad you're still making content even though Subnautica is less relevant than it was a few years ago. this genuinely reminds me of hardcore runs for example the one time i almost died from one wasnt from food or water or creatures it was slipping from one of the peaks of the degasi island also you are a mad man for jumping into the grand reef without any thing to help you get back up however good job and/or good luck on surviving the lava falls (active lava zone ik is an old name but its stuck in my mind)
I have so much respect for people who run the game in hardcore :) Sounds super hard!
@@TheLastBacon hard-core runs aren't hard because you can die at any moment they are hard because you always and I mean always have a sense of unease so it means screwing up sometimes
@@robbiecommie4941 as someone who has a 120+ hour hardcore save, I can confirm this is very true (especially in the Lava Zone)

Before watching this video, i think the main problem will be Grassy Plateaus Biters and the Cave Crawlers on the Aurora

So, this video has inspired me to give this run a try. Except I hate myself and treat it as a True Hardcore run, and reset completely after a death. Some tips of the more deadly things include...
In the earliest game, Crashfish are definitely annoying to accidentally activate. But once you get the Seaglide, they're not an issue.
In the grassy plateaus, Biters are something you always need to keep a mind about. Had a couple run ins with them. Same with Sand Sharks here. Just be extra cautious and always look around before stopping to collect something.
Had an annoying no-clip Stalker materialize through the sand on the way to the Aurora once. Inside the Aurora, apparently the fire that drips down from the ceiling in the Prawn Bay can damage you. Finding that out was annoying.
Don't gamble with volcano heat damage; it's range is further than you think. And don't even test the radiation range until you make the suit. Both instant death with no indicator.
Speaking of the Aurora, the way to deal with the Bleeders is to use the Propulsion Cannon. Grab them with it, then fling them onto the walkway. Haven't died to them yet doing this.
My most recent death has been just a bit ago, saddest yet. Had Seamoth 900m depth module, a decked out Cyclops, a Prawn with all the arms, and wanted to explore a bit. Made a trip to the Lost River to get some nickel, decided to say hi to the Sea Treaders. And I got teleport-sniped by a Warper. Instant damage. Never saw the thing till it was too late. Only way to prevent that is to be in the Cyclops. So I'm not sure how that will workout in the later game.
Oh jeez - my greatest respect to you - I think I'd go mad trying a run like that :)

I have an idea for a different and interesting challenge
Subnautica but a Cuddlefish follows you the whole time (at least in the water) but here’s the catch, it can’t die or else you have to reset (or start at the last save if you feel like it). This will force you to get really attached to the little guy and be funny to watch how it gets into trouble
Luckily those little friends have more HP than anything else in the game :)

I get that thing a lot on my copy. If this is your first time seeing it, I’m immensely astonished. It happens a notable amount on any save file I make. I have no idea what it is or what causes it. But considering how randomly janky Subnautuca tends to be even in the BEST of times, I wouldn’t say it’s outside the realm of possibility it’s caused by a Warper spawning in and then the game realizing it’s mistake and removing it.
Or maybe it’s intended as a way to show a Warper spying on the player? They are intelligent constructs with their own language and coordination tactics lore-wise after all.
I think I've seen it before :) It just appeared so randomly that it really confused me for a sec.

The weird purple light glow about 5 min into the vid is when light spawns I think. Something like that, it happens a lot for me. That probably just means there's a wreck.

It's actually a common bug that happens with certain wrecks whenever you get close enough to them they load in or in the case of the game code "builds" causing the build smoke effect

Not really related to anything, but my 1st and only death in subnautica was from the crash fish. Was inside a cave in the safe shallows when I got suicide bombed by one. Since then I was extra careful and haven't been killed by anything else even after beating the game multiple times.
Crashfish are the real nightmare :)
TIP FOR LAVA ZONE use the prawn suit to remove lava larvae, you could use maybe the grav gun arm to remove the larvae

You know that if you go to Sparse Reef there is the Reinforced Diving Suit, wich makes u invincible to triger plants and a few other low damage things
