‘Outrageous’: Netball Australia rejects global ban of transgender athletes

- Sky News host Chris Kenny says Netball Australia has “rejected” a ban on transgender athletes being handed down by the global netball governing body.
Netball Australia announced it has no plans to abide by World Netball’s decision to ban transgender players from international competition.
Mr Kenny slammed the move by the national sporting body.
“Netball Australia reckon if you’ve got male genitals, if you’re a bloke who wants to pretend he’s a woman, you can turn up and play netball,” Mr Kenny said.
“It is outrageous mistreatment of the girls and women who play this great sport.”
Netball Australia should be shut down, I do not agree to my taxes being spent on the abuse of women and that's exactly what they are doing, by allowing men in the team. They are agenda activists and no longer relevant to most Aussies.

How will international netball teams take it when the Aussie netball team is loaded with failed male basketballers out for a few free trips abroad?
They won’t have to worry, it’s banned internationally therefore any Australian team playing internationally will have to abide by the rules when overseas or forfeit

@@michaelmcgee335 My Stand? They are the only sport that I can think of that has had organised mixed teams of men and women for at least 35 years or more. It makes no sense to insist on allowing trans in women's teams when a more suitable option is already in place.

Not sure what the hub bub is over. If the argument is true, the negative effects and pushing out of female athletes will be obvious at some point... if there's abuse of the rule, probably sooner than later. There's not a lot of money in netball (but there are scholarships) so you probably won't see guys filling out the paperwork in great numbers. It's like these guys might be worried none of their predictions will come to pass. Let the obvious disaster play itself out... Like the great buddhist master says, "We'll see".

They did not see what happened in Brisbane when an all male side destroyed a all female side in netball a few years back. Get enough transgered and they can have their netball team. I know a few of them today in Bondi who should be in dresses and may want to play netball.

This is crazy to me; a netballer who has played on mixed teams and umpired for mens games. It is not possible for even a great female team to have a fair game against just a mediocre mens team.

Time that the majority of Australians (including the parents of young girls) grow a moral spine when it counts and defend the rights of their daughters and all real females. It can be done as demonstrated in October 2023 with regards the voice to parliament referendum, you have the power as the majority.
When they vote in elections they need to ensure they vote for politicians with intelligence (they know what a woman is) and have a moral compass.
When organisations such as Netball Australia do not reflect your views "do not support" them and divert your daughters to alternate sports whose organisations support the rights of girls.

All sponsorship should be stopped if they have this ridicules ruling. Start a transgender sport with their own sponsorship and see how many actually go and support the support.
Netball Australia is out of touch and we only have to look at the USA where this is now a law suit against a body allowing transgender to strip in front of females which goes against their own laws if the country protecting women.
