Whenever I install right bearings like that pilot bearing, I will store the bearing in the freezer until just before I install it and warm the area in the flywheel with a small torch, they go in surprisingly easy that way
I got a Sachs throw out slave part number Lsc326 for a 05 Silverado to go with the part numbers you have on yours so my question is do you have to run a spacer behind the throw out bearing? The measurements I have tell me that I’m about .8 to .9 of an inch from the teeth of the pressure plate to the compressed throw out bearing ?
Been watching your videos thanks for all the help doing a nv3500 swap with an LS. Big question, I am having trouble with the slave cylinder. I purchased two different ones the Sachs one and one from speedway. They are to big and don’t fit the shaft. way to much play. I’ve watched a bunch of videos and they fit everyone else’s 🤷🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️. Have you heard of this. I went to local parts store and it looks like the one for a 1996 4.3 v6 is smaller then the ones I have and will work going to check soon. I wanted the 2005 with the intergraded line but it was to big. Any help? I bought the trans from a 1996 or 97 Chevy 1500. Thanks
Just lil on the luk clutch stuff, probly the best you can get for them, I've used many different brands, my truck is a 4.8 turbo, pushing around 700hp, no clutch other than luk will hold up properly, only real upgrades are using spec stuff
I got a gmt900(09 1500 with 4.8) would it be pretty much the same route as your 4.8swap? Wanting to build a turbo truck me want another manual. Tired of the b.s grenade myself 60e. Not buying another "built" or "bullet" proof. Last transmission lasted 50k and was paid for by previous owner. Truck has 158k I've hauled once with it and haven't beat on the truck hardly besides pulling someone out of the mud and hauling a trailer around a bunch of stee hills. It's a wt.
Im doing the nv3500 swap on my 1979 c10 , The nv3500 come out of 99-06 Silverado with 4.8 . I was wondering do I use the clutch kit made for 99-04. And do I need the use small block flywheel
@@beeterolds I used an adapter from Novak Conversions - it's Chrysler on one side (mates to transmission) and GM on the other side (bolts up to flywheel). Didn't even have to modify the input shaft...bolted right up.
Doing a 5.3 swap on a '95 c1500 and planned on using the the nv3500 thats in the truck, external slave. I've searched the internet up and down to find out if the external slave will clear the oil pan. I did watch your video on the '93 and you didn't mention anything about it. I've installed a camaro oil pan and ditched the truck pan. Some say it will clear fine, some say it won't. I've also heard that the s10 nv3500 is different then the c1500. If you could clarify any of this I'd greatly appreciate it.
@@beeterolds if I get to it before you I'll definitely let you know, im getting antsy! Otherwise I'll be waiting for your update. Your videos have helped me out alot, keep it up!
I had zero clearance issues with the slave. Motor and trans are in and running. One question....where did you get your keyed power for your box on previous builds?
Did you run a spacer behind the flywheel or just direct to the crank? I have a lm7 with 04 nv3500 and all the 4.8 components in a 93 1500 and for the life of me cannot get the clutch to fully release? When I switched to internal slave trans from external.
looks like a troll porno linker again man that happening to all the auto channels this last 2 weeks or so .so no spacer needed on the flywhell for shorter crank A?
People!!!! There's no part 2 because the shit doesn't work!!!!! Found that out after 2 different transmissions only to find out that the clutch will not release
Actually It does work. I used the same trans in my S10 and made several vids proving it. I never got around to making a part 2 becauae I ended up selling the truck
Thanx for all your video's, very informative and no bull shit how to's. It's refreshing after all the other fluff on here.

I'm doing this swap to my 68. Great minds think alike.
looks like a real strong pilot bearing.

Exactly. Its the only brand I trust with the exception of the higher end friction brands... I only want to install the trans once 🤣
Thanks for the videos. Is there a 2nd part?
im doing an ls swap to my 94 chevy and will be using the nv3500 what manual harness and ecu will i need to run the 5.3 with the nv3500?

I would use the clutch and flywheel setup for a 96-99 Vortec engine.
We used a 2005 got flyweel and we liked it batter but everyone application is different
Part 2 ?
Just did a similar setup with my 5.3L into my Jeep. Same transmission, just slightly diff on the NV3550. Almost 400hp and I haven’t blown it yet. 😜
How did you adapt an NV3550 to an LS? I thought they were Chrysler only?
@@beeterolds I used an adapter from Novak Conversions - it's Chrysler on one side (mates to transmission) and GM on the other side (bolts up to flywheel). Didn't even have to modify the input shaft...bolted right up.
Good info to know! I heard they are beefier units.
Definitely following along
thank you buddy. very helpful
Would this work with the factory ls7 clutch kit, its only 300

@RS-db2ee are you running 4.8 with nv3500? Got part numbers to ur clutch an flywheel or did you use the ones in the video?
what manual ecu and harness did u use for your nv3500 to connect to the 5.3??? please let me know
What was the pilot bearing number?
Did you ever get this setup to work?
Is there a part 2?

No spacer. As of yet.. but in your situation you may have to shim the slave a bit..
Your 04 trans has a clutch fork??? Thought the internal slaves started in mid 90s
Throw out bearing ?
Same problem, went to nv4500 and still cannot get decent shifting behind my 5.3
I have a 97 I'm thinking about doing this with internal slave, did anybody come up with proper spacing or?
Stock internal throw out bearing ?
Why is my pilot bearing different
Do you know if the mounting points are the same or similar to a t5 or 56? Trying to figure out if I need to fab parts or if a swap kit gets it close
I wish I could help you.
I got a flywheel with my tranny off of a 5.7 350 small block will that flywheel bolt to the 4.8/5.3
Nope. Different bolt pattern
Part 2 on the way?
Got any drive along videos on the nv3500
I do. I Sold the truck over a yr ago, so youll have to dig a lil
153-tooth or 168-tooth ?
Will this work this kit work with a lm7 and a t56?
If thats the case you should probably get the clutch setup for an LS1 t56.. assuming the trans is out of an LS1 CAR and not an LT1 car
@@beeterolds makes sense. I might be overthinking it. Yes, the trans is from 04 gto. Thanks for the reply.
are the part numbers the same for a 5.3L?
Yes
Do you know what yoke the nv3500 uses? My research shows a 4l60e yoke but id like to be sure before I buy.
Depends on which version you buy.

Nope. None needed sir.
Yup , this wonderful economy. Pick three letters to go here.
