What's the difference between the smaller pilot bearing you installed, and the larger one that was still in the bag (not the throw out bearing)? My kit only had that larger style bearing.
I ran nv3500 & nv4500 behind a 5.3 and had bad problems shifting either so I'm gonna try that small bearing see if that fixes anything. Clean out the crank bore
@@guitarguy3221 I'm two years into driving my NV3500 swap with the larger bearing. Seems ok, shifting is stiffer than most manuals I've owned, but I figure it's a NV3500 thing, that and the gear whine in 1,2,3 and 5.

So I have a 97 obs with a 5.7 and the nv3500 I’ve gone through 3 clutch master cylinders the rod keeps bending and popping out of socket. And I’ve broken 3 clutch pedals since the upper connecting part is plastic 😤 it’s left me stranded so many times
Does that flywheel extend out .400” more then the other stock 4.8/6.0 one when your swapping to an older manual transmission there’s a difference in length of crank stick out
Hey man I just got done doing my nv3500 swap and I’m having trouble getting into gear like the slave isn’t engaging or something I bless the slave pedal feels pretty stiff I think it might have something too do with that electrical connector that came with the master cylinder how did you go about wiring that up is it needed?
One quick question. Aren't the flywheel fasteners too short? I order the same thing but the flywheel is waaay thicker than the flex plate. You think there will be an issue with the depth of the bolts not going in too far in the crank shaft????
I had the same question im currently doing a 5.3 5 speed and the fly wheel seem too short. Mechanic pulled the trigger and said to send it like that. Motor is still out trying to figure something out before they put it in tomorrow
What wires from the 5.3 auto trans harness wires did you hook up to your 5 speed trans speed sensor and neutral safety switch for it to work . I’m stuck on that park
I just did a clutch on nv3500 Silverado everything new flywheel etc and now at idle it shakes and vibrates pretty bad. With clutch in or out ? Hey man so question. The leftover harness from the automatic. What lines did you delete or have to retrofit for speed sensor. And your neutral saftey did you override it?
