    Well said Sir. I love camping under juvenile pines. Dry, soft ground, and shelter from the wind. Over here some of our low land forests have dead falls in them so I always check what is above me before setting up camp. The other thing I look for is the size / number of trees near waterways as this generally gives a good indication as to how high the stream will flood. Good video Bro 🇬🇧 🇳🇿

    At 1:48 and beech trees. Be aware that they shed large branches without warning.

      Good tip, thanks. I read up about that and it seems common after a dry spell as they route quite shallow.

    Watch out for ticks around bracken, especially if there are deer around.
