How to Maximise your Lung Capacity | Take a Full Breath or Final Breath for Freediving

- A full breath of air in your lungs makes a huge difference for your diving. Maximising your lung capacity is easy. All you need to do is learn how to better control your respiratory muscles. It's all about coordination and practice.
Once you know how to take a larger breath longer breath holds will become easier. In the end of the day this is all aimed at making your breath holds longer and more comfortable. To do this we separate the lungs 3 different sections. Three different muscle groups that we are able to use to expand outward and inhale more deeply.

I feel like I owe you money for this video. Valuable information was passed from one humanoid to another.
Thanks so much bro :) I will be setting up a Patreon in a week or two so I would definitely appreciate if you'd contribute to that :)

Is this exercise good for people with copd or people that have shortness of breath??
Thank you Adam. I’m just starting with free diving and I’m glad I found your video. I’m going to practice this everyday. Cheers mate!
Thank you for making this video!! I'm gonna be practicing!
The best video on the matter that I've seen on youtube. Thank you Adam for your effort, very valuable information.
This is the best instruction I have seen so far. Thank you!!!
Your easy to follow instruction has reawakened my desire to increase my breatholds.
Two minutes was my previous maximum, "I'm-gonna-die!" limit that I worked up to, but in only two days of following your instruction I just broke three minuits! I'm now shooting for four with real expectation for the first time!
Adam I am from Mexico and I was so happy watching at your teachings, you are so natural and happy! Thanks for sharing this with us and for warning about the packing stuff. Greetings! Come to Mexican cenotes!
King of breath. Thank you so much
Thank you so much for this Adam! It greatly helps me with my breathing and especially the 3rd muscle group section which is the intercostal- I just figuredit out just now. It amazes me how complex our body is and how tricky and manageable it is to simplify at the same time. I'm one of your avid fans here in Philippines. Dive safe and deeper 🤙🏼
Thanks Adam for being such a good man to share this very valuable information.

Thank You for the knowledge man 🤙🏼
I'm just starting to freediving and this is a good instuctional video for me.. Thank you
It's bizarre to realize I've never taken a "full" breath in my 28 years of life 🤣 Thanks for expanding my view, not just my lungs. I haven't started freediving yet (focusing primarily on dry training to get my breath hold up for a few weeks), but it's already changing how I view the world: how I breathe, relax, and truly relax my body. Thanks for the video; going to expand my pre-training regimen to include these
Such a pleasure :) stoked that I've been part of this journey :)

You're so welcome :)
wow thanks for this bro. i'll hold off on the packing for now.
as someone with a bit of pectus excavatum, a chest deformity, I've never been able to take very deep (normal) breaths without pain or it just coming to a stop. This was just awesome :D It still hurt when I got to the chest area, but with just step 1&3, I got really far, and I'll be using this when I practice! Thanks for the tutorial, Adam!!
Yay! Thanks for the video dude!
So so welcome!
I'm going to learn from you in person, one day!!(hopefully!!!!)

Thank you. Trying to rebuild myself after being flattened by covid. Love the vibe.
Thank you Adam!
You're so so welcome :)
Thanks a lot
Thank you
I love this. Could you make a separate video of the muscle isolation techniques without the timelapse so we can have a full guided breathing practice session? It would be most appreciated and helpful for us beginners to develop the coordination correctly seeing it demonstrated multiple times at a comfortable speed for the full 2 minute segments. Thanks.
Adam you are excellent profesional and teacher i star to learns this sport at OF 48 and exactly it was difficult for me after i full the abdomen ive no strong to film the chist today i learn with how to do it thank you i hope the best for you, god bless you and your family

Amazing
Love it ...ADAM thank you :)
great video .thank you
Thanks so much! :)
I was already impressed with how much air I was able to inhale with the two section and he nows mentioned a third one (at 10:00). My mind is blown!
Omg hiii trixxxx
And then there's a 4th one! (although it apparently isn't for adding breath hold time)
Extremely valuable
Thanks!
@@AdamFreediver just wanted to say , after only a week of training, I was able to break the 4 minutes barrier, going from a minute and a half to four minutes in a week. And your video helped allot, thanks once more
great video as usual !
Thanks so much :)
I learned to swim about 3 to 4 years ago, I kind of liked it later on about 2 years ago I started freediving using valsava to equalise I used it in about 7 swims I sadly can't practice freediving regularly only few times in summer and thanks to you I learned proper frensel EQ without tongue though and now breathing... I feel like although I would only get the chance to dive few times in summer it is more enjoyable since I got to apply proper techniques and tips so that I would simply become crazy addicted to that feeling under water while going deeper it is cool thank you, you are helping a lot with your content I appreciate it!
You are a good Master damn bro!! Thanks !!!! For this information!!!
Thaaank you very much ❤️❤️
I really found this video so helpful ❤️
Super big Like 👍👍👍👍👍
This is the best video I have ever watched, I am from Asia-Iraq where you can't find any resource to develop yourself
You are the only resource that I had
Thanks a million for your time and for your efforts
Thank you so much! I'm so happy that you're finding the videos helpful. It really makes me believe in what i'm doing :)
OMG. I love it. I've been practising for just a few minutes and almost got to hold my breath for a min. Wonder how long I will be able to hold it if I constantly practise holding my breath using my stomach and chest. This lowkey felt like a yoga session.
love the intro music on your vids and some great info !
So happy you like it!
Thank you Adam. It is quite practical and helpful. Especially advice on packing is valuable.
Thanks!!! Glad it was helpful :)
