The launch ramp to Coronado island was about 18 miles. I slept in the parking lot at shelter island

Not sure if anyone has asked yet, but how do u know how much gas u will need to get to and back from ur destinations that u haven't been too yet? I dont know anything about seadoos but don't the waves or current of the ocean also play into how much fuel u use?
I check how many miles I’m going out before I leave the dock. The seadoo can handle 100 miles on one tank. Coronado island is only about 18 miles one way.
Where you out there this past Sunday? Saw some one on a jet ski cruising.

Where do you launch from? Do you get to the Coronado Islands and back on one tank of gas or do you bring extra? How long does it take you to motor out to the Coronado islands?
I launched from shelter island. Yes one tank there and back. Only used a little more than half a tank. Took 20 minutes to get there.

For the beacon, is there a way to test it before each trip to see if it is transmitting properly? Also, is it a rechargeable battery or disposable battery?
Yes there is a test button on the beacon to make sure it’s working. The battery supposedly last 5 years.

how fast does it take you to get over there? How fast is top speed on your seadoo and what is the range?
From Point Loma to coronados, it took me around 20 minutes. I cruised at 30 mph, but my seadoo can go 55 mph. I have roughly 100 mile range.

It hold 18.5 gallons of gas, so yes allll day lol
