Street Fighter x Mega Man is a platform game, created to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Mega Man franchise and is a free game for PC.
Developed by Seo Fan Zong Hui (Singapore), and with support from the Capcom, the game has gameplay and graphics in the style of the classic Mega Man series, but the stages and bosses are based on scenarios and fighters from the Street Fighter series .
On January 18 launched an update of the game, which is based on feedback from players on the official forum of Capcom. Street Fighter X Mega Man; Ver.2 features several bug fixes, including passwords, and also a new secret boss (though Capcom has left implicit is that the fighter Sagat, through a trailer).
This longplay is a version 2 of the game (includes passwords, i used a code to get more tanks and i use all around the game...), a difficult, with short stages but very good game.

Wow I never knew Capcom officially encouraged this, what a great way for a company to show appreciation to its fans.
@@knight0fdragon Doing this launched a whole slew of community fangames for Mega Man. Honestly I think is the smartest move Capcom could have made with all this free advertising for their Mega Man franchise, looking at the financial success that was Mega Man 11.
My absolute favorite fangame is Mega Man Maker, the Mega Man equivalent to Super Mario Maker. 😊

@@SquareTales Couple years ago there was a data leak from Capcom on the titles they were working on for release in Fall 2022.
Two of those titles were a new Street Fighter game, and "Rock Man Match."
The new Street Fighter was officially announced this year but it's release is now in 2023, presumably the pandemic pushed it's release back by slowing production.
Many Mega Man fans are hoping the "Rock Man Match" game is actually Mega Man 12, and that it will eventually be announced for 2023 also.

Man, watching this almost 10 years later, and I know back then there was the Mega Man feud between Capcom vs Inafune and Mega Man fans, and I know the games from this era (MM9 and 10) were probably not the best in technical specs, but looking back at these gameplays there was definitely heart in these games proving that nothing can keep the Blue Bomber down.
I forgot this was even a thing. I would love a part 2 of this game.

@@mypkamaxI don’t think this is a hack. Therefore that was a stylistic choice to make it all 8-bit, similar to how Mega Man 9 and 10 are just running on an engine that’s NOT off the NES.

This game is awesome. Not only does the music flawlessly blend SF and MM, but Mega Man can actually charge AND slide in this game, something he hasn't been able to do the last few 'official' games. Well done.
(Now if we can start seeing some evolution toward the technology of the 'X' era, we'll be golden)

pursuing222 A fan of both games, if memory serves, was in development of this game. Capcom got wind of it and instead of a C&D, they gave the fan an invitation to their studios and offered to help. It is free in their Capcom Unity forums, along with the soundtrack to this game.

I love how the stages are the fighter's theme, the theme after winning against a fighter is just the winning theme from mm2, and the boss start is just a mixture of mm2 and SF related music.

As a huge Mega Fan and a huge Street Fighter fan, this is a dream come true.
unbelievable! I didn't know about this game! I thought it was fantastic. So Capcom itself supported this fangame as a form of publicity??? So Capcom got the strategy right, as it gained even more sympathy from the fans, unlike what happens with Nintendo, which from what I know practically criminalizes fangames based on its franchises. I was quite surprised by this game.

Sagat's a secret boss. Let's hope the others come with updates. It may have been that they were a bit harder to program and needed more time. Idk, I'm not one of the makers, just throwing ideas out there.
