- เรื่องราวเกิดขึ้นในปี 21XX ภายหลังสงคราม Repliforce จาก Mega Man X4 โดย Repliforce ถูกกล่าวหาอย่างผิด ๆ ว่าเป็น Mavericks ในระหว่างเหตุการณ์ดังกล่าว ประชาชนไม่ไว้วางใจ Maverick Hunters อีกต่อไป และเรียกร้องให้มีการเปลี่ยนแปลง ท่ามกลางเหตุการณ์ทั้งหมดนี้ ภัยคุกคามใหม่ปรากฏขึ้น ทำให้ Reploids ทำตัวผิดปกติ Reploids เหล่านี้คือพวกกบฏไซเบอร์จริง ๆ หรือเป็นแค่เหยื่อของแผนการที่ยิ่งใหญ่กว่ากันแน่? ช่วยฮีโร่ Reploid สีน้ำเงิน Mega Man X ค้นพบความจริงของเหตุการณ์ Innocent Impulse!

@@midnightstar2762 no it wouldn't. They can always make games before that period of time, or just make games that continue the x timeline the sameway they did with x7 etc, seeing as the zero games start from around after x6

I love X4, by far my favorite of the Rockman X series and the one I played the most out of, a friend of mine got me into the series back in high school and I been playing the games since, I seen people do no damage runs and it blows me away
I would love to see CAPCOM remake this game from the ground up with better graphics and stick too the old side scroll style like it's supposed to be and not go the route they did with X7 and X8

X４後を自分達なりに（ロクゼロシリーズ風に？）作ってみました・・・という感じだろうか XDiveのリコいたりするし5以降のキャラも出そうとしてるみたいだが
メトロイドヴァニア系になってるし（ロクゼロはまがりなりにもミッションクリア形式だった）長時間プレイ前提作品にするつもりなのかな？
フットパーツはX3のそれに近い8方向エアダッシュ（壁反射してるのはオートかな？）とダッシュ能力強化？
ボス戦はXシリーズ後期の「体力減ったら本気モード」な形式…というかガンヴォルトっぽいなコレ？
そして最後にスパークマンドリラーの再現（リメイク）ステージ…もボス戦が何か通常ともイレハン版とも違う感じになってた…うーむ…和訳されたりする日は来るんだろうか

I always wanted a mega man game where I didn't have to kill the bosses. Is that a game play feature if you finish them off with a pea Shot versus a charge shot?
The only other game in the series that I can think of that lets you not kill the bosses is mega man powered up on the p s p

I would kill for a Remake of X4 because the story has to much Potential but its such Dog water that its hard to really look past anymore. It's still my favorite X game but Man did the story age poorly
everything looks great. My only issue though was seeing how the charging up sound effect becomes quiet after 2 seconds. It's not like people are going to hold onto the buster charge for so long that the sound gets annoying. Is that why that decision was made?
I am definitely the type of guy who keeps the buster charged at all times, but, I also like the sound of the buster charge, it never irked me in any Mega Man game I've ever played.
But I guess there are many people who, like me, likes to keep the buster charged at all times, but dislikes the sound, and it was because of that that the change was made.
Dev here, and yup that's exactly why we did that. We've tested the game a lot and the charge sound can get super annoying after a while.

Mega Man X looks cool and has cool powers and abilities. The problems with him, is that he's kind of dumb and is kind of an asshole.
others call "being an asshole" driven by duty ykno. have you ever seen the old megaman anime series? megaman hasn't been too much different from X besides X being way more serious because he has actually been fighting in a war all this time. just look at how naive X is in day of sigma and most of the mmx series anyways, he always had hope, never wanted to be the warrior he needed to become, dunno why that makes him an asshole in your opinion but oh well.
@@mad_scientist2146 I wouldn't call having hope for a better future naive if it hasn't stopped the person with said perspective from doing what needs to be done where necessary, like X always does, but other than that I agree with your point.
I also don't understand why people think x is dumb. man has literally lead the charge of the maverick hunters on multiple occasions successfully, there's literally no way mans has a lacking iq.
@@mad_scientist2146 What makes him an asshole is how he treats Sigma. Sigma used to be Mega Man X's commander. He taught him how to do the job and he introduced Mega Man X to Zero, who would become X's best friend. Despite all the nice things that Sigma did for X, X acts like Sigma was always his enemy. He never once tried to talk Sigma out of being evil, aside from "maverick hunter x" which is a reboot game. Before Sigma became a maverick Sigma was said to be a very likable guy and most people loved him. And X potentially knew Sigma longer than any other reploid knew Sigma. Yet, X acts like he has no fond memories of Sigma at all. X just accepted that Sigma had become evil. He never questioned what could've happened to Sigma to make him change so much. And it turned out that Sigma got infected by a virus that came from Zero. So, Sigma never even chose to be evil.
@@rockmenx8xx411 have you seen day of sigma? it's here on youtube and not even bad. yeah I too think that sigma was a good one. the only genuinely "bad" character in the beginning has probably been Vile, who was just a combat freak as far as I know, warrior type gone bad. so you might be right there. yet megaman also had a bad attitude in the old anime already, while X was really just naive overall before the war
@@mad_scientist2146 I've seen the day of sigma, and as I've said before, it's a reboot/ alternate universe. It's not in the main canon. In the main canon Sigma was a good guy who got infected by a virus and Mega Man X acts as though he doesn't know that and treats Sigma like he was always an enemy. In FF7, even when Cloud talks about his enemy Sephiroth, he mentions how Sephiroth used to be good.
So far gorgeous game, my only complain is a bit the animation movement of Chilly Fox, it has good sprite work but i feel the sprite moves too still, given its an ice skater should have a bit more sliding/floatiness to its movement like when it starts moving a slightly gentle acceleration would feel more immersive and also give anticipation to the player. One thing the original X series games really did well was keeping not only amazing animations but also nice feel of motion of the spritework, departing from the still movement of the classic series. Those little tricks help to feel the maverick in a way, if its a fast moving one, a jumpy one, a prowling one or a heavy weight one. For example i do notice all the effort in such things in the Sigma X4 intro fight you've designed.
