Lotus Elise drivers don't mind getting a bit wet. The cockpits are mostly aluminum anyway.
Also, unlike some MX-5 drivers (and I still own one), we're not worried about ruining our perms!
Anyway, it really doesn't take long to put the roof up. If it takes you more than 30 seconds, you shouldn't be driving one!
So it was raining only on the start line ?
THAT IS SO AWESOME!!!
the track was dry at the end.what happened to the rain?
Thanks for the math homework. I had to do a whole lot of math to find the real fastest car
Legend has it the lotus is still getting its top on.
Hahaha, this is hilarious! Nice work Mazda!
So true. I can never understand it when I see someone driving a convertible Porsche or Mercedes with the top up on a beautiful day. It may not seem like it, but having a hardtop that comes up and down quickly makes a huge difference in your driving enjoyment.
Probably better to leave on a good note then bad, considering we may work in the same building at some point...lol.
Btw, I think your point about the Mx5 is great, it is a great car to drive.
And I give you credit for posting under your actual name, unlike most of these people.
Loved it!
I know the commercial was meant to be humorous, but at least get the numbers right. The porsche 911 can open and close its roof in 13sec (not 17sec as indicated), and the boxster can do it in 9sec. And both can do it on the move.
Seems like you proud to be able to put the roof faster but slower on track. Cool thought for an ads?? Is it better if I just pull out my umbrella in a second and walk?
And now whith the ls engine installation kit available the car is also just as fast in the speed category also. The miata is a cool lill car. Ive had several
On the contrary, there has never been so much free data available.
Mazda threat...pretty tasty.
I have an NA MX5... I've got friends with them too. All the ones that are softtops have a zipper. They may have changed it on the NB but I doubt it.
Is the mx5 a good first car?
X EugenAndTheCity X yes.
Best commercial ever
Does anyone know the name of the very first soundtrack, or music. I've been looking for that track for years. Great symphony music.
Beyond the cute & funny lies the fact that Mazda managed to design, and manufacture perhaps the best electric convertible top.
Chew on that notion a moment...
こういう動画は個人的に好き。
S2000 6 seconds, MX-5 (not RHT) 5 seconds! are not in the video due to technical reasons.
I wanta see this race with a Jeep Wrangler. I'd be like an hour-thirty. 😂
cant help but think the extra weight is going to dilute what the MX5 is famous for? plus the manual soft top roof really doesn't take long to put up anyway.
The only extrodonary thing aboht this commercial is that they were able to even get the lotus to the drag strip without it breaking down.
Second gen lotus and later have toyota engines and components so its probably the most reliable car in this competition. Still, I loved the joke, especially thinking of old Lotus cars :D
This is a great ad for the other cars
