The at home experience for gaming is so much better that’s why. The arcades started dying around Super Nintendo times. We miss it but it’s rare to see them.
Arcades are still huge in the states i dont know what you mean i would once and a while go to dave and busters with my little cousins on weekends and it gets pretty crowded even other places like bowling alleys that have arcades

To answer your question, Dashie, the reason why Pacman is in Mario Kart GP is because it was developed by Namco Bandai, not Nintendo, so they were allowed to add Pacman to the game. Nintendo probably did not have permission to add Pacman to Mario Kart 8 OR Nintendo wanted to keep Mario Kart to mostly Mario characters with other guest characters from other Nintendo IPs.

Taiko no Tatsujin is also on the consoles while the arcade game is localized in Asia and Australia. The new Taiko game is location tested in America.
