I just saw The Cassandra Crossing for the first time. It is an AMAZING film. Entertaining, intelligent, exciting, Richard Harris is not exaggerating, I was mesmerized the whole time I was watching it!
I just saw the Cassandra Crossing today Sept 10, 2022, then went here. It's a great movie. I don't understand why critics don't appreciate it. I love all movies with Sophia Loren. Richard Harris was great in this movie. The music is familiar and reminds me that I heard it in my younger days and it lingers. Jerry Goldsmith is great, too.
Cassandra crossing was a very good movie. They made some great disaster epics in the 1970s. This was definitely one of them. I think this movie was a Italian, British, American and West German co production a number of countries put their talents together to come with this terrific film. Now forgotten classic from the 1970s.
This film was roundly panned by critics....but the point is it's ENTERTAINING!!! :) the main element in any film...get over yourselves critics! PLUS it's so topical now in the world! This really could (and is) happening...love the film
This film was released in the December of 1976. The first Ebola outbreak was in the summer of '76 and in 1980 we had the next lethal disease, the AIDS. I don't know if that was a coincidence.
@@dora1980 They said aids/ not getting enough vitamins was passed between gay people. Now they say monkeypox is another one for gay people. The drug they made to treat aids was what the killed people that were told they had aids.
