Part of Richard Harris' charm was that he was so honest about his life and what he enjoyed. He enjoyed booze, women, and wealth and the excitement his success provided. I wouldn't never condone his lifestyle but he was a wonderful actor and storyteller who never hid his deeds yet remarkably down to earth. He was a combination of talent, unpredictability, intelligence, excitement, volatility, and danger which is what made him such a fascinating man.
♥ Loved!! Still Love Richard Harris, he was a great man and actor. There will never be another Richard Harris like him, he's surely missed. Truly great man. Oh and by the by, he can bloody sit however the bloody way he wants, the mans a genius. ♥
It's always amazed me how such a brute of man with a brutal intelligence could play such gentle, moving and sensitive roles. The sign of a great actor - and of brutal intelligence - I guess :)
He was magnificent in The Field. Amazing man. There’s a plaque to him in The Coal Hole on The Strand in London where he drank in his final years when living a few doors down in The Savoy.
It's hard to amagin, Richard was never acknowledged in Hollywood Britain or Ireland, the cumplish tallented actor of his generation. Not even on the Hall-of Fame, down Hollywood Boulevard. Shocking.
@@owengreene382I think Hollywood didn't fully acknowledge him cause he didn't kiss ass.....The suits find a brain and a mouth intimidating. True in all walks of life, work place.
Harris long ago earned the right to sit any way he pleases, so far as I'm concerned, and could sit in a chair upside down and backwards for all I care. Besides ... chair sitting is a convention that is long overdue for a re-conception.
Really?? Wonder where his tapes are. Too bad he didn't get to write the truth about his own life instead of attention-seeking speculators spouting off shit like they actually know something.
Hayley Crazyx that is the thing he does not give one flying fuck what people think about the way he sits ,or what he says, And no need to ask who does he think he is , everyone knows what he is , something you will never be able to say in relation to yourself 😂
He is Richard. Harris, Rugby player,,Actor,,great singer,, real Irish gentleman,,,and he is honest, always admits to his wrong doings,,that's why we love you Richard Harris,,R,,I,p,
If you look at his body language at 3.28, when he 'rights' himself on the chair, he touches his mouth as he tries to find another Harris quirky way of slouching, before conceding to the conventional sitting posture. I think it's just a defence mechanism for Richard, to avoid the formal style interview to which he may not have been at ease with. Perhapes mistaken for an arrogant posture. I reckon the great man was an insecure control freak underneath the bravdo and relentless storytelling. Great Actor.

He has a young personality..and imagination..of a poet...
i could listen to him for hours. Looks like he's wearing one of his beloved Rugby shirts. This interviewer always seems so classy!

Probably one of the most interesting Irish men ever lived. On a par with Wilde, Joyce, Connolly. etc

Wonderful interview ! Kudos to Peachy Patricia ! Always enjoyed the performances of the late great Mr Harris. A class act all the way ! :-)
He's Albus Dumbledore, until the very end. He's the one I see in my mind while reading the books.
He lived life to the full.
Legend and a genius and he can sit however he likes.. fine man and fine actor god rest his soul god bless you richard harris xx

It's a shame he, apparently put down Ian McKellen's acting. Ian's a fine actor. It was Ian who advised casting Michael Gambon for Dumbledore.
I just saw Ian McKellen in London, and he put down Peter O'Toole's acting, which somehow seems so much worse.
I went to the one you missed.
10 years ago today he died, RIP to a legend but no mourning for harris he wouldnt want it that way! celebrate his life with DRINK!!!
Hes passport is in o'donoghues pub....I swear it...

When was this interview recorded?
A total...extrovert...
Did they find the bag?
I was just thinking how much of an absolute travesty it is that that bag was lost. I would give everything I have to listen to those tapes.
Yes..he's sitting on it..lol..
Hij was de beste acteur ooit die man kon acteren als geen ander zelfs kiek Douglas was lovend over hem en dat was ook niet van de minste hoor
Why the fuck wouldnt you state the date of this interview? Poor.
Your the bulll your the bull your the bull
He's weird. Who does he think he is?! Who sits in a chair like that?
