With how I've heard people talk about Chester, and who he was as a person, I know he would want Linkin Park to continue. She isn't replacing him, nobody can do that. She's paying homage while also doing her own thing. I'm just listening to the music. People focusing on her personal life are focusing on the wrong thing. Look at Mike's smile in the live stream. That should tell you everything you need to know. The new drummer is also pretty damn solid. Linkin park drums have always sounded simple, but there is a lot more going on that one might think, and that guy is tight and in the pocket the entire time during the live stream.

@@jimmyb2655 they can continue all they want too. But Linkin Park died with chester . They need to re name themselves. You all should do some research on the new singer Emily . She is a good person. Great friends with Danny Masterson and the church of scientology

@@run4funs24 so sick of cancel culture. She has stated she hasn't spoken to him since everything was fully revealed in court, and she doesn't condone what he did. Also, I'm just listening to the music. Wish we could separate the art from the artist in 2024 but that's just impossible with social media. I heard the song before I knew anything about her and thought it felt right. I see reaction channels left and right where they all end up in tears and happy. Did you do any real research for yourself or just read some buzzwordy headlines and jump on the youtubes to be a keyboard warrior? because I did look into it, and frankly I don't care. Here in America we have what's called freedom of religion, and just because somebody doesn't believe what you believe, doesn't diminish their talent. She's a good singer, and that's all I care about when it comes to the music. Do I agree with her personally? It doesn't matter!

Exactly! I could see adding her for a track on the record, but to become the lead vocalist?! 💩

With how androgynous Chester's style was (soft, vulnerable melody -> screeching fiendish vocal fry from hell) it would've come across as unsatisfying mimicry when they do their older songs. Copying the man with satisfying results for the old fanbase is close to impossible. You can copy him if you have the skills, but then its just copying, and old fans would've probably disliked that. A big part of the LP style is this "vulnerability". Androginy like Chester's is rarely pulled off in likeable ways by 99% of male singers. This style is much easier pulled off by ladies, and Emily does a great job at doing it. Might've actually been the best move they could do.
