    I had some of that pine from the "donate box" at my local B&Q and have found it turns very well.

    Glenn & Liza What a great wee bud vase project it turned out smashing for pine. And I have been using YOUR carbide tool a lot lately and am starting to get very used to them, great job well done.

    Watching the shavings when you were using the round, just like what I would expect from a skew. Very nice

    I love that center thing you put in the 4 jaw chuck before you have a tennon cut. such a quick change out! Please please does anyone know what it is called? I have a drive spur which is great for starting but its a lot of fiddling threading it off the lathe then mounting the 4 jaw chick. My 4-jaw looks just like the one in the vid so really really wanna find/get that removable spur thing. Oh and thanks for the great video Glenn I feel like I learning so much from you!!

    Do you know a catch is good for old people? It makes the hart race, the adrenaline pumping, improves the reflexes as you duck real quick, but the only down side is some times you have to go in the house to change your pants.

      Bad catches, not so good. It wasn't a catch I got on the last turning though that threw the pot off, it was because I had made a dovetail in the wooden chuck for something else I had turned, forgot about it and didn't do one on that piece. Thought it was funny though. Did say that they were selling fast, so fast that they are actually flying out of the door. Lol.

    Too bad your audio is so muffled, it really makes listening difficult. My problem is how many bud vases can one make & give away, let alone sell.

    • @glennteagleofukwoodcraftca5308
      @glennteagleofukwoodcraftca5308  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's my power cap faceshield that makes my voice sound a bit muffled. Nothing I can do about that I'm afraid. I will not turn without it on. When you do production turning, time is money. I would not be turning as slow as on these videos if I was in production mode, as explained in previous videos. Doing these videos is purely to help others. Make and sell/give away as many as you can.

      @@glennteagleofukwoodcraftca5308 Thanks. Maybe you can squeeze a mic up inside the shield?

      @@markb8954 We tried wireless mics a while back, but they cut out and we didn't know. Inside the shield, the power cap is really noisy. I like to give instruction as I go along. Most would stop and talk. Then the videos would be too long. If I fast forward or cut, then people complain as they don't like it. We just put the videos out now. If you watch it, you watch it. If you don't, you don't. There is no one else showing how to use carbides like I m using them. You learn something in every video. I don't like to have wires hanging whilst turning. Safety first.
