- In this video, I show you how to replace a string trimmer line with two strings. It is a simple tutorial that deals with a dual feed string trimmer. It is actually a fairly easy process, but many people struggle with it for the first few times that they have done it because there isn't really a good set of instructions that exists. The method that I use is straight forward and simple enough that pretty much anyone can follow along with it easily.

For the love of god thank you for making this video I felt like such a dumb ass I’ve never had to spool a double feed before and it was driving me crazy I also had 2 different ppl trying to tell me how to do it and they were both wrong! I was wondering how the dual line spool needed to be wound. Thanks for sharing.
Oops! I changed my mind. Your method will work but the lines hit the speed bump at the starting point of the wind and therefore did not wind so nicely. I found another You-tuber that splits the lines and starts them in the little notch in the hub of the spool. Much nicer wind.

What keep the string from losing ALL the tension when feeding into eye holes of the trimmer?
That's always a nightmare for me 😮😮
I don't see how the string will extend as it's being used. Sure you can put the "string" on that way even though it seems weird, but how does the string extend? Makes no sense and not at all like the manual. I just watched another guy who showed it the manuals way and realised what my issue was and that was simply not knowing about the extension button for the "string" . In your version the extension button does not work at all. I have 2 weed trimmers and I put the "string" on easily both ways, yours and the manuals, and tomorrow we shall what works. I honestly don't see how yours can work and the spool would need to be removed to keep extending the line. As far as volume goes...I know how to turn mine down but people are picky eh?

this is just wrong. you dont start from those side notches, you need to start in the middle, you will see if you try it.

They have but they are generally commercial gas types it's push button bump head loading and takes 30 seconds these ones in the video are so stupid
