- The second leg of our amazing adventure onboard the Audi R8 V10 Plus, as we set off horrendously early with the P1, 918 and F12 to meet up with 100 other cars before travelling into Italy and the amazing roads including Stelvio Pass.

Definitely agreed. P1 looks alien, front resembles a Pontiac Trans Am and the rest like a weird preying mantis. LaFerrari has this weird-looking nose and the angles are all wrong and jutting. 918 is just overall well put-together.

That 918 is sick
When we drove the stelios pass this summer, I saw six powercars behind an english family, who had taken their van up there.
They could not make the corners without having to revers a little at every single hairpin, therefore slowing the traffic down to nothing.
All the powercars where forced to drive at absolutly no speed at all.., and they were pissed beyond believe.
Honking their horns, and shouting out the Windows they finaly made the van take a very small spot at the side of the Road.
Its probably still there…😂🤦♂️🐪

1.18, awesome footage and as you explained later, the great work of the wind tunnels for the aerodynamics can be seen on both cars! I have to admit that the P1 looks better in the rain especially the rear!
So, You guys were making an amazing combo. If I had seen firstly R8 V10 Plus, after that Porsche 918 and after that McLaren P1, I probably would have a heart attack! Amazing cars and nice trip like always.

That section starting at 4 mins is in Telfs. I couldn't believe the video because I've driven that exact road before. It's absolutely amazing.
Awesome view, i ve also already been there with my father in our V12 Vantage, really really epic to drive there. The guys from Top Gear UK also been there not too long ago
I have been a long time follower Tim and have a proposal. I really hate always staring at the passenger side dashboard of whatever exotic you are in. Please give us some POV angles from the drivers seat including the steering wheel, gauges, and road. Even GOPRO footage with a head or chest mount would be epic. Thanks for sharing these exotic car adventures and hope to see some FP POV footage in the future!

It seems that you know the p1, 918 drivers really well. Are there going to be more videos about that in the near future? Maybe a high speed autobahn-race with them? (P1 and 918)
Remember vehicles going up have the right of way (good job I see you did) - going down you have to yield to others at those hair pins. True story after parking at the top my car went on a bit of a fritz and didn't want to reverse - everytime I put it in reverse it went forward ... freaked me out ... but i obviously got it sorted in the end.
Watching you drive by yourself was such a relief. The 918 and P1 drivers should get some training or smth.
Great Trip! Hopefully i will have my C7 Z06 in two years :) After my Roadtrip to Monaco last year with my Mustang, i just sold, i hope to make a great Roadtrip as yours with my new car!

Very cool video Tim! I always wanted to drive Stelvio pass! After driving it, would you say it's over hyped because of the traffic and whatnot? It looked a little narrow at times. The cows were pretty funny too. Looks like a fun trip!

There are more suitable passes for supercars in the alps, like Bernina Pass, Furka Pass, Grimsel Pass, Susten Pass. You should try them too...
Bur Ozt I have driven 3 of the 4 of them before.
+Shmee150 At 03:55 the "Cow-pass" (Hahntennjoch) its only 20 minutes away from me. There are so many great streets around here I can tell you. Its great to live here...but next time you are around with the P1 or 918 tell me, I can show you more exciting roads.

Hm, I would have thought that such expensive cars come with blinkers included, but for whatever reason, they don't seem to work on these cars or are missing. ;)
These oversized cars are so misplaced on the Stelvio, just look how clumsy they (have to?) take the 180° u-turns. Would be a nightmare to be behind them...

Have you ever considered updating to a 60fps camera ? I've seen other Driving related channels that upload full HD @60fps and it's such a huge difference. It gives you a much deeper experience just from watching.

I have been wondering do you have the camera on for basically the entire drive? How many SD card and battery changes do you have to do for one trip?
Team-Shmo No to be honest, the reality is that ends up with silly amounts of files and I do all the editing myself - so have to keep it reasonable. I film just specific short segments of video that I want to use so I don't have tonnes to go through later.

No, i think the whole journey was re uploaded because look at what he is wearing compared to the weather in germany right now
***** Exactly, parts are repeated but most of it is new. I filmed the entire trip like a full story so sharing that now while I'm on holiday and not filming new things.

In the usa cows are sometimes called doggies. They're seemingly not equipped to discern the difference between a fine motoring car....and a normal car. Unfortunately for them I guess.

Ho Leong No I had an R8 Spyder, this is the new R8 V10 Plus with the newer double-clutch gearbox.
Yeah last car I had, a rental, going up the Stelvio and on the Autobahn, was a stupid Jeep Commander hybrid 🤦♂️
