Hello and welcome to episode 68 of West Coast Gold Prospecting. Today I am using my small highbanker to find some gold. I brought my son Tanner for a little extra help and he did great.

Awesome video! Not bad colour at all, some of those bits were actually rather large It was suprising to see those show up that high above the river (altough I guess thats how it is like our biggest picker/small nugget was on a clay bank well above the water level). Keep it up!

Looks nice brother... Down south we have so much black sand it's tough to catch the fine gold. Low and slow several clean ups..you can scrub the box with your hand but when the riffs pack up time to clean up....stay warm and the bottom be yeller

I am new to this. My brother and I want to start prospecting / rock hounding / dredging. We are in Linn County Oregon. Being disabled frees up our time for sure lol
You know that the angle is too high. You are losing gold . And having to feed much slower. Set it at half it's current height/angle. Smaller shovels but quicker
I am definitely going to do this again. Wish we lived a bit closer brother. I have always enjoyed your company. And hell yeah he did great for being a kid stuck on his games all the time 😂
I hear ya on the games thing my son does the same lol Yeah I wish we lived closer too hard to find dedicated gold prospectors right now ! No one goes anymore besides Gary and Bennett. Sometimes I just want to sluice and there metal detectorist lol

Yeah it’s been crazy lately. Hunting season and getting sick has kept me from prospecting for awhile.
