I met this wonderful person 4 days ago in an Athens show...she had a smile upon her face all the time,she was just patient with hundrends of people wanted to take a picture with her and autographs and staff and the smile never left her face...when my turn came to talk to her and sign up my cd and the ticket she just smiled and she was so sweet on her speaking like she was not tired from the 2.5 hour set or the people she had to deal with... thumbs up if u like Anneke !!!!!!!!!!

I seen some videos, she is a great front person, obviously super cute, beautiful with a great voice but having scanned some lyrics... Ouch. Not the best stuff. I can live with that as I am more about the sound than the lyric but still, these lyrics are pretty bad.

If she ever did try to put on a Soviet-era partial-pressure suit at the end of this video, does it make this more eerily resemble that of the "independent film" directed by John Millerman that starred Silvia Saint that the video already does? Still, I love this.
I can't believe this song is over 10 years old! I remember listening to this band in college; it's some of the most relaxing rock outside of Pink Floyd.

I love this song, you just have to take it to what it is: the "fun" song in a very experimental album. I bought HTMAP when it was released and I instantly fell in love with it!!!. I used to listen to it every single day and it oppened my mind towards other genres of music like trip hop and electronic music (progressive house, minimal, etc) -I used to be a "metal guy"-. Now, about 12 years later I still belive this is the most beautiful record I ever heard =)

I remember when THE GATHERING's first album ('Always'....it is Awesome) was a death metal band ('Always' is an awesome Album/CD) Then Anneke took over the vocals and everything changed but THE GATHERING managed to get even BETTER!! LEAVES, NIGHTTIME BIRDS, then HOW TO MEASURE A PLANET came out.... Absolute Brilliance!!! I love this song 'Liberty Bell'. I also really like her new song with AMORPHIS 'Amongst Stars'. It's very cool.
@@Kjarthan yes, admittedly they were more of a 'doom' not a 'death' band. But I was more referring to Bart Smits use of death style vocals on ALWAYS. peace.
Their death/doom phase was particularly interesting for the use of keyboard riffs that wouldn't sound out of place in cheap 80s fantasy flicks. Dungeons and Dragons metal. Awesome stuff.
