@@ward893 The band was started by Ex-Vader guitarist and his wife Anna (the vocalist) and she acquired an illness that effected her nervous system along with her vocal cords in which neck and spine surgery is required.. She could no longer sing.

I loved this band. Was hopeful when i heard they were going to put out a new album then She got sick. Feels really bad. Still will listen to their stuff!
The video almost had a steampunk feel to it. And all their outfits are amazing. And awesome awesome song.
All the song is played very well but here I like in particular the drum line...a rhythm incredibly rich of time changing and backbeats that highlight Aya's voice.

Anna will always be my metal queen. fell in love with her voice and style back in 2013. still love her and this awesome band. hope all the health and a long life for her. will never forget this awesome band and the feelings it evokes from my soul.
Heard them in Prague. I'm so sad they had not so many listeners, but they were just awesome! Love that heavy gothic metal. And also love the band, Mauser and Aya were so kind to answer my questions. Just love them and hope to see them again soon as headliner!
Cóż można dodać: Mauser dobre technicznie solo, wokal niesamowity takie możliwości głosowe to naprawdę coś niesamowitego, wracając do śpiewania na żywo w jej przypadku to na scenie każdy się denerwuje i łatwo o błąd. A krótko o muzyce Unsun według mnie: delikatny metal i wokal z ostrym solo.

this band had so much potential and was sad they got disbanded. I always liked her accent as it brings something different to the vocal.

It's a real god damn shame what happened to this band. Anna apparently is suffering from a disease not revealed that affects her nerve system. At first, after Clinic for Dolls, her vocal chords were shot. Then it was revealed later that apparently it would be a miracle if she could walk again.
As far as I know, she never revealed her illness fully and basically the band was forced to separate as she could no longer sing or perform.
Very unique and wonderful band. I wish Anna and Mauser well and hope that one day they will be able to perform together. At least you could give us two fantastic albums to enjoy!
Ashetoyoursoul : That update was about a year or two ago. According to the post, she's basically had to quit music. At first it only affected her voice, in that she literally couldn't sing, she could barely talk. That was one of the last updates a long time ago. Then a year or so ago she posted that the disease affected her entire nervous center and would be lucky to even be able to really walk. So she was forced to retire. Very sad, however her husband is still in music with some other bands.

She seems to be doing better now. She's alive and painting and enjoying life. I still think singing is still too much of a strain on her body though.

@@kiromaisus Anna Stefanowicz posted on UnSun's Facebook page announcing the breakup of the band due to how her vocal cord condition was getting worse. She wrote: "The illness I have is affecting my nervous system and there are a lot of bad things happening to my body at the moment. So now I am just dreaming about being able to walk and move and do things without pain, so forgive me for not dreaming about singing. I am currently waiting for the decision about my possible further treatment and one of the options is surgery in the neck/spine area, and I hope that, the successful surgery would resolve at least half of my problems. It was really hard to admit it but this will also free me somehow, hopefully.. Therefore, we decided to quit the band. Maurycy is still continuing with his writing and music making. He is currently working on his new project/band."

When most people think of metal. They think of talent-less oafs singing meaningless songs about Satan and the end of the world. Like the stereotype of opera. Opera is a fat lady singing in Italian wearing a viking hat. Neither is the case. Whatever you want to call Unsun, I love the band. I even own their CD's.
+Daniel Rios Vikings never had horns on their helms. That was a Christian tactic to make the poor scared of them. They were too smart, when it came to warfare, to give their enemy an advantage of handles on their heads.

fred UNSUN is Awesome! I like both albums quite a lot. Being a North American it's difficult to find bands that can write and perform "Gothic-Metal" worth a darn. Looking forward to the third album a the full healing of her throat condition. I think UNSUN will present a third album that will top the efforts of the first two!

Ficou realmente muito bom.
Jestem pod ogromnym wrażeniem nawet nie byłem świadom że tak dobrą muzykę tworzy się w naszym kraju. Wokal jest po prostu niesamowity. Gitara jak na Mausera przystało jest zajebista a razem brzmi to rewelacyjnie. I aż mnie dziwi że tak niedoceniacie tak dobrego zespołu.

Nowhere is there information about what is happening now with the band.
Adolfokid Rochelero No their record label dropped them cause of their later work not really being all that gothic anymore
+Adolfokid Rochelero Their singer had problems with her voice to the point where she could not even speak, and doctors could not find what was wrong. She is slowly becoming better but there is no information about a possible future for the band. (All this was explained on the band's facebook page)

+Adolfokid Rochelero Seeing as the founder of the band is the guitarist, who is actually married to the singer, they most likely are not going to replace her. Their latest post on facebook says that she is finally starting to be able to sing again, and they are still working on new material, but are planning on releasing another album soon.
The sound quality is better, Anna's voice has improved so much, I can hear the bass, the drums are recorded so much better. Clinic for Dolls surpasses The End of Life. End of Life, although being a debut album, I was dissapointed with it. Whispers was the best song on that album with a few other songs I could handle listening to. But this album actually blew me away at its quality. Hail Unsun!
