Glad to see the spare tire. They should be standard equipment on any trailer. I have the same size trailer. I carry 2 spares. The jack and wrench are in my vehicle. Great video. 👍

I like Top Hat trailers, if I were buying new I'd look for a Top Hat, my dad has had one since around 2006 and used it mainly for trash hauling from construction.
After a lot of use and abuse it's still a solid trailer. It was stolen in 2018, and recovered just a few weeks ago. I reworked the gate, painted it, redecked it, put a new coupler and jack on, ran conduit for new lighting and added some stepping points near the rear axle. It's still a super solid trailer and ready for another 15 years of use.
I've got to disagree with you on the bulldog couplers though. Every trailer I've had to use with one was a pain. The Tophat had a 2" atwood which was by far my favorite coupler. Since the thieves broke the coupler, I found out they don't make atwoods anymore. So I got a "yoke" style and it's nearly as good so far.

Tophat trailers are well made, i've got a 5 by 10 made by Tophat trailers and it has surpassed any of my other utility trailers

I'm surprised you say the bare trailer only weighs 600lbs. I would have guessed at least 2x that!

I just purchased a Big Tex 77”x14’ and it looks exactly like this, except mine has square top tubing and the gate pins are short pins with a ring and they’re wired to the trailer.
