Looked at a Big Tex recently, it looks like they pay the welders & crew $1 per trailer for assembly

I own a big Tex trailer and while it’s a great trailer in many regards the construction of the gate is embarrassingly cheap for cost … the metal used is so thin but you will never know until the gate bottom rusts out and is exposing the metals thickness… plus no tie down points … I noticed differences in construction of this trailer and I hope they’ve addressed the gate issues…

I'll never purchase another big tex trailer again. There welds are crap the gate would slide of because because they never leveled the hinge when welded to trailer. And rusting like crazy
