Sorry dude, but like your video about the RG351V, you're missing out on a lot of stuff. When you Booted up your 351V I could tell that you didn't bother with good custom firmware, and looking at your Vita I can tell that you're missing out on some really good ports, launchers, and a virtual console. Lots of Vita fans would give you crap about choosing a 1000 over a 2000 for an "Ultimate" set-up, and you don't have the R3 and L3 triggers installed. You talked about them, sure, but they're not there. Those triggers usually come packed with the L2 R2 trigger case like you have there, and they're held on with two-sided mounting tape. You also might want a Tempered Glass screen protector because that screen is easy to scratch if you're not careful.
No problem, if you're going down the Vita Rabbit hole you might want to check out Zealous Chuck, Dan Cooper, PSX Place, Vita DB, PS Vita at 2am, and other Vita sources of info. They helped me out a lot!

and a Vita 2000 with red button layout with black front panel and white back with a glass protector
Can it emulate ps3
How did you mod it? Any links to any videos?
As someone who loves their vita, I'm definitely gonna look for a R2 L2 trigger case. Didnt know they even existed, got my vita back when they were new, and having both a vita and a switch I prefer vita, even though the likelihood isnt there i hope and wish sony revisits the PSP down the line
Sony handhelds deserve another chance, the first two did enough to genuinely stand out from the crowd. And they're just damn fun to mod with.
Where did you get that kingdom hearts theme?
anyone knows the theme's name at 4:03? thanks in advance
Sorry for replying late, but that's not a theme it's Retro Arch using the XMB theme
How did you get dragon ball z and naruto on adrenaline? its not on pkgj
*can* you update the nds emulator on the browser on the vita? Also, can it play nds games like nds pokemon soul silver? I'm new to the vita ^^ I'm a DSi kinda gal...
My vita 2000 model back touch pad is not functioning..kindly advice on how to fix it..
the l2 r2 are pretty much a necessity for stranger's wrath and borderlands 2. it also helps for toukiden somehow. the 'top player' also made a special eva case for that grip so you don't have to remove it when you keep it.
Wdym?
@@khulafanoraiman3301 borderlands 2 and stranger's wrath are ports from pc. They needed a lot of controls and used the back touch intensively. Any game that uses the back touchpad will benefit from the l2 r2 grip including toukiden.
What’s the case called in this video if you know?
how fo you keep your grip clean? mine alrrady start to. turn gray from every day use
Looks cool.
You cant really go wrong with the Psp
I have the original 1000 model and have the 64gb and 16gb memory cards for it. Do I still need that sd adapter or can I start modding with those?
vita is so underrated
Can it emulate ps3
Managed to get a basically mint ps vita 2000 for 80 on ebay. It came with a carrying case, charger, tempered glass screen protector, and has a matte film on the back on the system because nobody likes that finger print magnet on the back.
I want to upgrade from a 256GB to 400GB. How can I copy my 256GB to 400GB without losing anything when put 400GB in?
Can you still play online with an modded vita and update your trophies
Do you have a list of games that you have on your vita. I still have to much space left xD. Also did you create shortcuts to emulated games on your home screen?
Bro I didn't even watch the whole video i'm in.
Where can I get actual Vita and psp games after I mod the console?
is it possible to watch netflix, youtube and use discord on the vita?
Mine is in the mail to be delivered tomorrow, question for the content creator or others, noticed he has a handful of vita games in his library. After jail breaking/ modding the vita, have people found ways to get the vita games downloaded for free? I planned of getting emulators on it but would love to add vita games as well
pkgj
pkgj or the quicker method is to download nodprm Vita games on your pc and move it over.
Looking for some help here, I have some PSP games installed on my Vita and the games seems to be running at the correct resolution, but all the videos/intro screens etc are way zoomed in, I can't seem to figure out what happened. Any and all help super appreciated.
I get overwhelmed with lots of game on my vita amd can't choose what to play first
Just dug my vita out of the gaming graveyard yesterday.. played a lot back in the days...
I have a modded vita however I am too afraid to update to firmware 3.74 thinking it will patch my modded vita etc
don't update, otherwise you will have to remod again,
Sorry dude, but like your video about the RG351V, you're missing out on a lot of stuff.
Thanks for the feedback. I can always make an updated version of this video in the future.
No problem, if you're going down the Vita Rabbit hole you might want to check out Zealous Chuck, Dan Cooper, PSX Place, Vita DB, PS Vita at 2am, and other Vita sources of info. They helped me out a lot!
He’s using a 2000 model for his setup not a 1000.
Can't forget the Mighty 2 old 4 Gaming since he literally wrote many books on the Vita. He is another great source for Vita info.
That's the 2001 model not the 1001
is it better to buy vita 100 or switch lite ?
Depends on what kinds of games you want to play. The Switch Lite technically can't be Homebrewed unless you do board swap which is very expensive.
@@TechSummitTV does the touch pad at behind disturb when playing emulator games ?
@@F4NCY_ No, not at all.
Excellent quality sir, I'll sub
I have a 2001 ps vita I'm planning on refurbishing it a it's modded I have an psvita2sd but I only use it to put stuff on my system I have 14gb I have old games on it
whats the best memory card for a Modded psv
i use the sandisk 128gb 256gb is the best
2 TB
Where did you get Kingdom Hearts theme ?
With the homebrew, you get access to a theme shop where you can download any of the themes available on their app.
@@TechSummitTV that screen color is so rich and thick just like the Oled version. Apart from the theme installed what else did you do to it?? If it’s changing the rgb color and brightness from the registry, what values did you put in there??? Thanks
Can a grip for the vita 1000 fit on the 2000?
where can i get that grip for the vita?
Look around online from Ebay, Mercari to Playasia. The price on them are skyrocketing depending on which grip you want especially the legendary Hori Grip with L2R2 L3R3 that runs around $150.
He said he was leaving a link for his grip on Amazon in the description of this video in case you didn't hear him.
Great vid! Just got a 1000 model myself! That p5d footage was painful to watch tho 😂😂
Can you emulate ps3 roms? Or games
@@Sc35444 I don't think any handheld ever can
@darciukas u modded?what you play
Great video love my PS Vita and play everyday 👌👌👌
Love the grip great idea 👌👌
glad i still keep my vita 1000 i was going too sell it in 2017 but glad i did . and i cfw my vita too record lets plays yes you can record your vita when you hack the ocnsole but also you can use ps3 controller and ps4 controller .
Can PS Vita Emulate or run PS2 games as well?
Sadly, no.
Definitely gonna get another I've already 1 up til recently
Amazing video and I’m so close to buying a vita, wish they weren’t so expensive. Love your voice btw.
You are such a silly, why would you buy a vita, this console doesn't have any library for good games. Buy switch lite, it has a very big library with online play.
Buying a vita means you are stuck offline forever with your digital games. No online games, no dragon ball or Naruto games ..
And please emulate things on your Smartphones, don't waste your money on an old rotten tomato.
@@Abhishek-or7wu The switch doesn't have nearly as big of a library as a modded Vita. You can play all PS Vita and PSP games, N64, NES, SNES, Genesis, PS1, GBC, etc. Unless you have a first edition Switch, you can't even mod it. Buying a Vita is 10000% worth it, and if you don't think so, you're the silly.
@@Abhishek-or7wu the Vita is still online I can get online right now and play a call of duty match or borderlands or any other games and it has more features than the switch it's far better
Also I have a mint condition green back white front slim that I don't need anymore since I have two others if you haven't found one yet
@@Abhishek-or7wu Vita has a really big and quite frankly a fantastic library of games, and once modded, you don't have to buy any of it.
funny enough, a huge bulk of Switch games, are games that were ported from the Vita, especially if you're into Jrpgs
Going to need to get that grip
is that a silver or white vita?
Actually.... My $85.00 Black PS-Vita (2000)Slim...I bought from a PawnShop in mid 2019...3 months later...fully modded...with a Sammy 512gb MicroSD-Card Evo and Sd2vita adapter... Got a vita like a month or 2 ago and it's been amazing. Haven't gotten emulators to play other game systems since i don't really have a reason to play them but I'm hoping to get a grip this Christmas snd save up to get a ps4 to mod so i can play Spider-Man
I would NEVER sell my vita!
Can you provide some insight on how to get Retroarch running properly? Got some bios in here, but it doesn't create playlists like yours do. Would like to have playstation games running on it too. Thanks!
robles junior has a video on fixing your retro arch so the thumbnails work
my bro had the same problem with thumbnails
You need to create the playlists one by one. And for the ps1 games you can also use the Adrenaline emulator
Sony can completely cripple this system but just stopping us from being to get the passcode needed to access the PlayStation in the first place. I would put it past them it is so weird that the PlayStation Vita uses his own generated passcode instead of your Sony PlayStation accounts password.
There's 2 things I want to add to a Vita. USB C and Wi-Fi 5 or 6. Wish there were drivers you could add to a hacked Vita... Ughhh
Just ordered a 2000. Wish I got white. But w.e.. I’m 35 and haven’t played video games since 2003/4ish. Kind of really started to hate hate how games became after that. Now that I know I can play NES/SNES/N64/PS1/PS2 games. I’m happy. I wonder if it can play sega games. I like sonic. I just got diagnosed with cancer (2nd time) this time is bad. And just started chemo and it’s killing me terribly. The days I feel good I want to play nostalgic games I used to love. Especially if my time is limited.
@@Roberob1189 yes! You can also emulate Dreamcast and below, so you should be fine for most Sega consoles. I wish you a speedy recovery!
I have a White 1001 Assassins Creed Edition in box and a Black 2001 Boarderlands Edition in box Vita's, as well as a PSTV.
A Nyco Power Grip for both Vita's, a Hori Grip with L2R2 buttons, one Black and one Blue hard plastic Vult Cases, and 148 physical games.
I got my first Vita 2 years ago and haven't modded them yet because I wanted to focus on get all of the physical things I wanted before the price on all of it got to be to much. But now that I got pretty much everything I wanted I'm going to mod my 2001 and PSTV as emulators and leave my 1001 alone as a regular Vita for my physical games.
When you said about the battery life I was like "This guy must be on crack" Have you had no battery issues? I brought a new one and changed it out and It doesn't last at all! :(
I LOVE MY PSVITA 👍
i just got one for 50 bucks in pristine condition
you should consider getting a ps4 controller and stand of some kind and a bluetooth speaker or headset. also nuclear throne is a game worth trying thanks for the video
Thanks for the suggestion!
I still have my Vita 1000 from launch
A Sandisk or Sammy 512gb sd-Card is the best way to go...🤓 with either Fat / Slim PsVita model...Also... do you have KILLER INSTINCT...using the Snes9xVITA emulator...🤓
why would someone give u "alone" of something and not bother with it for 2 years .
Ultimate vita starts with the 1000 OLED edition imo.
Other than the screen it has no advantages, the slim has better battery life, a better charger, its thinner and lighter
@@visualdosage234 screen outweighs all those advantages if you ask me

PS Vita is a handheld console that transcends the technology of its time.
i have the l2 r2 set up as well. works freakin awesome
rertoarch pronounced retro -ARK lol
It’s retro archive , but some new users think it’s like Noah’s ark , you know like saving all the old games in an ark , both pronunciation is fine I reckon
the ultimate ps vita setup should have all of the official accessories!
Need me a grip like that
leather jacket fire
“Don’t sell your Vita” lol, that assumes people actually bought them to begin with.
You should make the Vita have its own type of joy cons
Why you shaking bro
What's so special about this? You just modded the vita, slapped an SD card in it and threw it in a grip.
I wish i can play pubg mobile in this thing haha
