In a long ago effort to be organized, I combined my larger stamps in a plastic tote. A (repeatedly) request to sew up little pouches now seems much more enjoyable. Thank you ❤ This a repurpose/recycle project involving near empty spools of thread, faded jeans & fabric remnants, orphan buttons, and never used sport shoe laces.... My only purchase will be the archival black ink pad.... this is sounding so much fun. 🍄🍄 Thank you again for the sewing mojo recharge.
I have a Bernina with a stich regulator. It takes getting used zo but now i can actually draw and psint with thread.. lots of fun.. thanks for your indpirstion.
Just found you 🤎💙❤️👊💙👍🏿🙌🏼 your work !!! I also just saw your video !! When you took a frame and took your material and made a house !!! I think you call it tiny fabric !!! Again thank you for sharing and caring !!! 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
I really love these zipper pouches for various small crafting projects on the go, but yours are over the top cute! I need to make some to organize various items in my work bag. They would make super cute back to school gifts for my Sunday School kiddos too. I need to use up some smaller pieces of poly/cotton quilt batting and this would be a great project for that. Thanks again for sharing your creativity with us Julia!
Hi Julia! You make zippers look SO easy! 😂 My daughter was 3 last time I did a zipper! (she's 36 now, lol) I need to be brave! 😁 Adorable bag, thanks again! I just bought the oil pastels, too. Brenda in Az 🌵
You can do the zipper, they are really easy I think everyone finds them hard but they really aren't once you start you get addicted to them. Go for it!!!
@@stitchesbyjulia oh, i certainly understand that . . . it's just a really cute stamp. i want to try stitching on some canvas like you used that doesn't have to have stabilizer...
Hi Carol, I am so glad you are enjoying my projects. I have an Etsy Store - stitchesbyjulia.etsy.com My Etsy is a bit neglected in the summer. I am consistent from September through April. Thanks for watching, Julia
Hi, I am using a free-motion foot. You can get them from a sewing machine store. Amazon also carries them. Make sure you get one that fits your machine. A sewing machine dealer can help you. Free-motion stitching is lots of fun. I hope you give it a try.
It is a computerized pressor foot that attaches to a sewing machine and helps make free-motion stitches even. To my knowledge, Bernina is the only brand that makes them to fit their machines and it’s $$$$.

What is a stitch regulator?? I've been sewing for 50 years that's a new one on me. Now I'm looking at my machine😅

I have used a stitch regulator. I really could not tell a difference.
Thank you for your input!
Did u wash that nice beige canvas piece of fabric? I just got 2 yards of it and since it frays I wonder???
Hi, I usually do not wash it before using.
Love it, Julia - thanks for sharing! 😊 Hope you have a happy 4th! 🇺🇸
Thanks so much! 😊
I have never sewed zippers. Kind of confusing to me. I might give it a try.
You get addicted, they really aren't hard just make sure you face it the correct way, sorta like measure twice cut once!
You can do it! I avoided them for years. These pouches make zippers easy.
