Ahhh, the Queen of free-motion stitching is at it again! Such tiny stitches this time - I don’t know how you do it! 😮 But you do, and they’re absolutely adorable! Thanks so much for sharing these, Julia. 😊
I chuckled all throughout the drawing of the sweet funny faces. How simple yet fun and easy even for me and I cannot draw an oval or a straight line. I was grumpy and anxious when this video began. Then I was smiling and happier in the end so thank you Julia
This is beautiful. Thanks for sharing this. I like slow stitching and I think I can make work that way. My free motion skills are nonexistent. lol definitely going to buy the color pkg you shared.
Such a fun art project -reminds me of making paper dolls when I was a little girl using cardboard and my mother's sewing supplies -some were wonky while others were prim and proper -love you videos and your imagination works wonders
Ty. For teaching. Even my 2 youngest grandkids are having fun learning, watching how you do these always. Your inspiration myself and grandkids. Ty .. we've learned so much and enjoy along with you.❤ 😊😊
Hi Jean, I'm so glad you enjoyed this project. They are perfectly imperfect which makes them whimsical and fun. Each turns out so different from the next. Have a great week. Julia
So cute Julia...Anyone wanting to make free motion a bit easier, old Singer 700 series have a slant needle and a higher gap between the machine and the plate. Another way to make a bit easier to see is to prop, very slightly, the front of your machine. You can even use the machine from the side since it is free motion....The old Singers are cheap and easy to find because they were made for schools by the thousands....
Thank you so much for the comments and your great tips! I am going to try the propping - it should help seeing where you are traveling easier. Thanks again! Julia
Hi, first time to join in on the conversation on TH-cam, but I just had to say how much I enjoy watching your videos. I have watched so many of them in the last week! I love your style of drawing, sewing & making videos. I just got a new sewing machine and I am so excited to combine drawing, painting, sewing & vintage materials. Your video just made my morning, super cute & inspiring, and I actually have the whole day to sew😁 thank you so much!
Thank you so much for your comment. I am so glad you are finding inspiration from my videos. It was only when I combined fabric, up cycled elements and art supplies that I really found my style. I no longer take my projects too serious, I just want to have fun. Enjoy your week and thanks for watching. Julia

@@stitchesbyjulia rubber, or plastic door stops or door jams make propping the machine easier and safer. Usually can find them at hardware stores.
