Alpina watches are very good. I have an alpina stratomatic !! , a gift from my father in 1967 for my 17th birthday. It still works perfectly. Even better then my rolex.

The size diameter thing is a on going frustration with many manufacturers. They’re either 38-39 or 42-44 and my sweet spot is 40-41 mm on a 7 in. Wrist.
I would buy it right now except too big. 39mm would be nice. Great vid.
This watch is stunning, and I'd get one for myself right now if only it weren't so big.
Looks very good quality at that price point. Although Oris Propilot series come around those prices too.
The seconds hand tends to disappear depending on which angle you look, but otherwise a nice watch.

I wish it wasn't quite as big but I love mine anyway. It's my everyday watch and first automatic. Kinda sucks that the SW200 in mine has been running +15-20 seconds since the day I got it 3 and a half months ago.
Hi Nicholas, I'd bring it to a local watchmaker and have them regulate it, also check to see if it might have become magnetized, that could cause a big swing in timekeeping. Cheers!
Where did you get the knife from, in your unboxing?
It's made by Buck Knives, I don't recall the model # though. It's a lower priced option from them, does not have great edge retention.

I got the black one recently and it's beautiful. Only problem is the bezel does not line up. At all. Rather disappointing and will probably end up selling it.
I’d return it, or bring it to a jeweler to see if they can sort it.

22mm Lugs
Nice watch, but there are hints of fraudulent design theft... the lugs are from Omega, the red triangle pip from Rolex/Tudor. Lots to like about it too: coin-edge bezel, signed crown, nice caseback engaraving, nice hand set, clean date window. However, nothing that peaks my interest with this watch - it's TOO safe in design... it would fade away in most collections.

Or for those unable to acquire the other brands mentioned, this affordable option would allow one to have many traits in one robust design, I like the fact it was produced prior to the Citizen acquisition when FC was still independent, the larger size doesn't bother me in fact actively using the watch hiking,skating or biking will work for me.
The red triangle is there logo lol not design theft. The blue dial steals the show.
I like the look of the watch itself very much. But supplying a dive watch on leather makes it look like costume jewelry.
Good news is, that's easy to rectify ;-)
Dive watches don't come with bi-directional bezels. So it ain't one. It's a sports timer.

Stupid watch dive bezel and no lume on the second hand and 100m water resistance.
It's not actually considered a dive watch thus the function of the bezel is birectional and not unidirectional. Which in my opinion is far more handy unless you are a true deep sea diver
Then why not put numbers on it like a gmt to give a better use? Its a watch that's trying to be many things but not anything in particular.
