@5:14 That is just a massive flex on other teams, even Ferrari.
08:41 - I disagree. Newey is 100% NOT the cherry on top! He's the table that the cake stands on.
If Aston Martin wins a championship with Lance Stroll driving then THAT is the cherry on top.
If Aston Martin wins a championship with Lance Stroll as the lead driver then that is like having the cake served to the Royal Family.
AMR will definitely be one to watch in the new rules set. His cars are very rarely slow - unreliable in the past perhaps but not slow.
i cant help but remember how 44 was giggling like a school girl, thinking Ferrari had bagged Newey 😂
Nobody serious ever honestly thought he’d go to Ferrari. Pure delusion from TeamLH.
44 didnt need Newy to win 7 titles. i dont think hes disappointed
@@Lalith333 he will need Newey and much more to win the 8th though. lol
@@kilotangosierra i dont think he needs an 8th title. 100 million salary is all what he cares about. hes not the hungry Lewis we used to know before
@@Lalith333 100% agree with you there. that fire isnt what it once was
Very exciting! My favorite car brand, with my favorite engineer.
What a deal for him, wild.
I’d imagine Newey will have a quick look at the Valkyrie LMH while it’s still in development.
So Eddie Jordan, manager of Newey helps to get him into the team that was formerly, Jordan F1... hmm. 😅
homies for life 😂
Was axing Lance part of the deal though? 🤣🤣
I hope Honda and newy told atroll that his boy needs to go do a different hoby
I’m not the biggest Aston Martin fan specifically lance stroll jn but it’s great to see more teams competing for the top spots with Audi joining soon
My dream would be Fernando and newey together on the podium
The biggest concern will be if they have too much high profile technical leads and their egos will cause chaos. Like the team already has cowell, cardile, fallows, blandin, like will they all agree to whatever Newey says?
Now until there, they just need a new driver line up... just take daddy Stroll a bit of courage and comon sense.
Lance is the only reason why he's in F1. I wouldn't hold my breath. Dude is a billionaire so f1 money for his little boy is probably worth it for him. He's paid lances way since childhood and wouldn't expect him to quit now lol
Aston Martin got me BRICKED UP THESE DAYS
Alonso being world champion again is absolutely in the cards right now
Looking forward to the 2026 race reactions
There is a saying: "what can't be done with money, can be done with a lots of money"!
Daddy I want Newey… Now!!!
"Alright son, I'll buy you a Newey!"
I would hazard a guess that the money would also have a little bit to do with it.
I did not see this coming!
Everyone is talking about Gene Haas but to me Aston Martin is showing Audi how serious F1 is. You can’t just come and win 🥇
Newey is a great engineer but he’s also a very smart businessman. Amazing move taking ownership if he can help them win a championship. Newey knows his worth.
Is absolutely amazing for the sport, in one way that hasn’t been talked about much. It would be great if engineers were talking about more going forward. It would be amazing to see a global sport in which engineers and scientist are treated like stars.
The deal with stroll that newey made ensures he will not be treated as an employee he is an owner boss consultant hybrid
In other news Guenther Steiner is the new team principal
Why is everyone acting like it's over and he will design a world championship winning car? He doesn't ALWAYS get it right and he's been out performed by other designers many times
Because his track record speaks for itself.
He is coming off the most dominating car in decades, which is backsliding exactly as he is stepping away from the team
He has a mythical status about him, which his bank account is going to be very pleased about
@@blueguy12345 what record? getting washed by Merc for 7 years in a row and constantly crying to FIA for regulation changes so that RB could finally win?
@@mineralwater6736 ok you're just trolling right ? You can't be this ignorant.
If you search for the most successful formula 1 car designer in the history of F1. See what name pops up.
Also, look up how many championships both drivers and constructors his cars won...
And then come back and tell me he's as talentless as you claim he is.
@@blueguy12345 so? without the best engine you are not winning tittles.
Thumbnail is misleading.... it should be "Super Team and Lance"
get that stroll bag! 💸
Came here for the comments. Wasn’t disappointed.
im new to f1 and I was trying to go through each team to decide which one i will support. I cant pick red bull obviously because i dont like picking the winners. I like mclaren and they look primed start winning championships. Im french so i was going to look into alpine but theres sale rumors and i dont want to mess with a team thats not going to be around. Im seriously considering Aston martin. They not very good but i really like the infrastructure they are building for the future. They need to probably get rid of lance though. The chances of him being their best option and also the owners kid is well, slim to none. That worries me but maybe it will work. I think im going with Aston
On one-side , it would be a great story to see him add a final WDC / WCC to his tally!
On the other-side...it would be greatly satisfying to see it flop and see the realisation that money cannot buy you everything!
So I wonder, given all the power Newey now seems to have, what if he wants another driver besides Lance? Cause this year shows, you really do need 2 drivers to win team championship. Unless the new Honda engine and his design give them another last year RB car, you need 2 drivers. Especially if the cars are close like they are now, 1 driver can’t do it only and this season will show that.
