Bet the lock Ness monster nesssie is or was a 60lb trout knowing fishing is regulated, in our resivuiours here we have 300lb catfish because we can't fish it.... fish grow exponentially because there's no gravity under water.
Here in Tasmania we have absolutely world class brown and rainbow trout some absolute monsters have been pulled out of the many lakes we have here people from all over the world come and fish our lakes for the challenges that lurk below i love river monsters such a great host is jeremy wade
Chew Valley Lake, get on the Pike days and fish big herring or mackerel in some of the mid to deep areas and hope. I’ve seen them come in the boat in the early 20’s, they are the direct descendants of the brook brownies when the lake was created. I’ve heard them refers to as Triploid brownies by the rangers there.
You gotta fish Obed lake for big ones here in north western Alberta border line world records have come out of there along with many in the 5-20lbs as well
We've these trout in Ireland. Breac Marú, killer trout but known to everyone as ferox trout. The only lough I know have them are Lough Mask and Lough Corrib. Record was over 20lb. Which is huge for trout. Nice to see River monsters uploading again
@@HotHoneyMustardSauce I do watch a lot of water related vids, Fishing for me is one of these things, it's a business, or It's for food, I never treat fishing as a sport

You should've kept one to eat. Brown Trout are the only trout I like better than Rainbow, AND about everyone I talk to, either has never had it, or agrees. Just one good size, doesn't matter how big because Trout only spawn once, so "breeders" aren't a thing in Trout.
I think I have found a new story to investigate it is called the Qalupalik and it is a Inuit mermaid that leaps out of the water to snatch kids and then swims away with them it is found in Alaska and Canada
It's not rocket science, or even science, that the reason one select environment produces larger than normal examples of a particular species. It's the food base! There must be a very prolific and larger than average food source to support gigantism. No food base, no predators.
When River Monsters upload, everything else is put on pause
This was one of the best shows on TV. Jeremy rocks!
Imagine hooking something like that on your family fishing trip.

Lol I just saw someone catch a 30lb brown on a fly rod on a lake ontario tributary. Pretty common to see fish in the 15-25lb range
Common in the mountain lakes of Jasper National Park too. Hard to catch because the water is so clear and they feed on fresh water shrimp.
@@D-B-Cooper theres no browns in jasper 😂 big bull trout yes
*ignores michigans 41lb record brown

I've just had an encounter with a super sized brown trout myself , I'm sick of folks forgetting to flush.
They grow so big because plenty to eat water good and cold and nothing to eat them lol
