I've been to a lot of countries, but Taiwan is one of the best I have ever visited. Usually, I can judge my trip based on my experience at the airport. The first impression sets the mood of the whole vacation. The immigration officer at the airport was stern but respectful, the woman at the currency exchange was not only pretty but also very jolly.. the place was clean... and the food was great! I hope that whatever issues Taiwan and China might have, can be resolved in a peaceful and fair manner. I love Taiwan!

Can someone explain why nearly everyone says "Taiwan is friendly"? How can it be friendly if no one there wants to be your friend? I asked many this and they are all stumped. Very weird. There is a total disinterest in making friends in Taiwan. It's the most antisocial country in Asia for sure, besides Korea and Hong Kong. The women and girls also have a very negative hateful vibe that makes you feel uncomfortable. Trying to socialize with them or chat them up feels awkward and inappropriate. Everything feels wrong and off. Kind of like Seattle, WA but much worse. It's hard to explain. You gotta go to Taiwan to know what I mean. But of course it's taboo to say this because Taiwan is all about being politically correct, not honest. So in that sense it's unfree, even though it's a democracy. Anyone else notice all this too? I only have problems in super cliquish places like Taiwan and West Coast USA. Outside of the US and NE Asia, I have many friends and meeting people comes naturally, just like in the movies. Only in Taiwan and USA is it not, so the problem is NOT me.

Taiwan is the best! I remember one time when I was in Datong District. I was in a 7/11 store and a PWD(blind) bought something and was about to pay, there was a long queue but the cashier entertained him first and even helped the guy put the things he bought inside his bag and accompanied him to the front door, the amazing thing is that no one even bothered to complain or what. I will definitely settle down in Taiwan soon when I grow old.
Taiwanese are absolutely one of the most wonderful, genuine and warmest people I have ever met.It makes Taiwan one of my favorite countries even though I haven't been there yet.I look forward to going there someday.😊💙🇹🇼 ~Love from the Philippines~ 😊💙🇵🇭
Taiwan is the number one livable in the world. When foreigners come to Taiwan, they fall in love with Taiwan’s paradise food and convenience, freedom, and democracy. They don’t want to go home anymore. People around the world are nostalgic for this place and forget to go home. Very good Taiwan.👍👍👍❤
My grandfather is Taiwanese, and my grandmother and mother is Japanese . I had lived in Taipei about 8 years, and I'm live in Tokyo now. The most significant difference between Taiwan and Japan is Taiwanese always be enthusiastic, this is rare to see in Japan, especially in big cities, like Tokyo.Although there's no doubt that Tokyo is more convenient than Taipei, but to me, I think this kind of mentality is the true essence that worth to people to pursue. (I'm sorry for my poor English.)
yes, although japan is so beautiful and amazing, i think the culture is too rigid.. the societal rules are so strict. taiwan is more freeing to live in i think.
and well mannered! At least the people of Taiwan don't spit on streets or talk loudly with each other in public spaces. Unlike some other cities across the Straits
I can only speak for the capital but the enthusiasm I see here is resulting in running and bumping against each other on the streets. It would be hilarious if it wouldn't trigger me every time I see this behavior - I consider that as ruthless. It seems the perception range of the average person living here is 1m. There are a lot of friendly people but I encountered also many assholes. Mainly drivers cutting pedestrians off when crossing the street during green light. This happens on a regular basis.
I worked in taiwan for two years and I can say that the Taiwanese are so friendly and easy to get along with.there are so many theme park in taiwan .and hot spring too.lots of handsome and pretty local.
Yes peace & love....no wars. USA needs to go to confession for all the damage to human lives in other countries. Learn to spread the American wealth to all the people, and not just the few and the rich.
I fell in love with Taiwan after visiting this beautiful country several years ago unfortunately it is one of the most overlooked and undervalued places to visit in Asia while everyone knows about Thailand, Japan, South Korea and China, I feel that most people don't even know about Taiwan overshadowed by its more mainstream neighbors one of the best countries to visit, with rich traditional culture, very liberal and safe
NO, you don't know TAIWAN!!! Several points you didn't know: 1.TAIWAN's formal name is 'Republic of China' in its constitution while CHINA's formal name is 'the People's Republic of China(PRC)'. 2.TAIWAN once was the Permanent Five of the UN Security Council before 1972, taking CHINA's place with US's support. 3.TAIWAN took all the gold and wealth of hundreds of CHINESE Emperors in 1949 to fund its economy, leaving the poor majority people starving in the mainland. 4.Both TAIWAN and CHINA called Tainwan a province of CHINA and it had a province leader by election before 2004. So what's the role of US here around China?
Nice its the first time i know Taiwan is very beautiful and especially different according to other Asian countries thanks for the video.. From Morocco
I came here after the tensions between China and Taiwan . Taiwan is incredibly beautiful and progressed . Although it has been under political pressure but Taiwan has progressed significantly . I hope for peace and stability in the world .
Geographically, the Taiwan island is less than 200 km from the coast of China . an unsinkable aircraft carrier. as a quasi-colony of Japan and US to Counter China, anyone with a mind able to critically think can come to the conclusion that this it’s not beneficial for the people of Taiwan but it’s in the interest of the regime who wishes to be in power
Greetings from Taiwan! I spend a week in Vilnius and nearby, it was a blast. Safe, warm people, great food (it is similar to Taiwanese food, I really love it), great beer, art and nature. It’d really would be an honor to be friend with a country full of histories and culture and educated people like that!
East Germany is not equal to West Germany.(1949~1990) South Korea is not equal to North Korea. The Republic of China is not equal to the People's Republic of China。 Whenever communism invades a country, it will certainly divide that country. China is no exception. Today there are two China in the world.
I am Vietnamese. I used to study in Taichung city. I miss the country, my friends and the people there so much. The food is fatty but all they are really good. That’s also a kind of speciality in cuisine of Taiwan. Streets are very clean. Air is fresh. I love the Peace Day in Taiwan most. In this day, I love walking or travelling around the city by public bicycles which you can get from every stations on the pavements. At night, I usually visited the night market with some of my friends. You can find everything that you need there and stop at some food stores to enjoy the local food.

My grandfather is Taiwanese, and my grandmother and mother is Japanese . I had lived in Taipei about 8 years, and I'm live in Tokyo now. The most significant difference between Taiwan and Japan is Taiwanese always be enthusiastic, this is rare to see in Japan, especially in big cities, like Tokyo.Although there's no doubt that Tokyo is more convenient than Taipei, but to me,
I think this kind of mentality is the true essence that worth to people to pursue.
(I'm sorry for my poor English.)
I agree, but I don't know enough about the Japanese to tell you why this is, I understand they have a quite high suicide rate
yes, although japan is so beautiful and amazing, i think the culture is too rigid.. the societal rules are so strict. taiwan is more freeing to live in i think.
agree with you. Coming from China now I’m in Japan. Every Japanese is lonely island
I think japan is easy to live for japanese, but not foreigner
From convenience point of view, I assume you know more about Japanese language than Chinese Mandarin.

Yes agree

Store attendants: .... crickets**
and well mannered!

NO, you don't know TAIWAN!!!
Several points you didn't know:
1.TAIWAN's formal name is 'Republic of China' in its constitution while CHINA's formal name is 'the People's Republic of China(PRC)'.
