So cool of you to pick this old beater up for my cousin bro (Bolt bucket). Good to meet ya too mate. Loved San Diego. Will definately be back there again. :)
I put mystery oil in mine run a couple oil changes using Deisel Oil and Honda HP4 has been fine since, but then i think that sound could also be one of the cooling fans, sounds like dry metal, like a dying computer fan, which i also sprayed some lube into the electrical motors as well
Yep. Had to watch till the end however I have heard that noise before. And it's a bad transmission. My dad had a 90se long time ago and he started experiencing that noise. Never went away. He rode that bike 3 or 4 years like that. It's a nice bike considering that problem.
Fun project bike. There are still thousands of these oldies on the roads today. Nothing wrong with that. Typing before the video ends, it sounds like something is rubbing up front. Fender? (I will wait until the end)
@boltbucket is currently on the road with it. An up coming video ill talk about what was done to the bike. We went to Vegas, then we split off. He made his was to Colorado, Kansas, and OKC I believe.
Yo. Did you donate this bike to Paralyzed Veterans of NV? It's doppelganger is for auction right now. I swear I saw the ad for this bike and almost snatched it but missed it.
Yep the handle bars were not straight. Good eye cause I didn't notice till after making this video. Update on the bike, it got sold in Houston where Mt Aussie friend left it with a friend of ours
If you added a thankful of gas, you doubled the value of the bike 😄. Bolt came into town here dripping some oil (bike thinks it's a Harley lol) and full of duck tape hahahaha...let's hope it makes it to Houston
😄 I heard! The oil thing is new. Wondering if the plug got loose. Waiting to hear the update soon. Yeah, it could use a new body kit after 32 years. But like they say, if you can't fix it, duck it! For the record I offered Bolty my bike if he thought the Goldwing would make it. He's almost done! It was runnimg much better when he left then it was in this video before anything was done
I have my fathers ‘89 Goldwing gl1500, has 149,000 miles and runs great. Earlier this month, I picked up my ‘23 scout bobber. Both are great bikes.
Awesome!

Hey! Nice meeting you as well!
damn man I read about those worn shifting forks on the 1500 and wondered what that sounded like. Now I know.
AWESOME! More to come I hope
Keep it! Great project bike to bring some life back into if you have the space.

Interesting. 3 to 4 years? What happened after that?
@@RickyBobber he sold it.
Great share Fam and rest east dad with a bike. 🙏🏾
❤️❤️❤️
Keep the goldwing.... trust me. It's the work truck of motorcycles lol
I am so glad you're not bringing this thing back to San Diego. Hahaha. It rides amazing but God it needs some love. Great video man
Thanks man! And thanks for looking after it
Speedometer cable? For the noise. Oh yeah got to that point in the video. But that’s what I assumed once you said no Speedo working.
Fix the speedometer cable and the self-canceling turn signals will start working
joining the Goldwing parade i see
It was an adventure!!

LMAO love the start "uh oh..."
Great project bike ! Let us know what you find out
The right grip makes me nervous at the beginning. 😂
Still not bad for the price you paid. And Bolt is still going so all good so far!!
Those glasses you were wearing in that pic!! 🤣🤣.
Right?! Lol, you noticed th3 glasses 😆 found them in a thrift store. Had to take a pic
Dang, I missed the premiere, way that doesn't sound good!
Sounds like static from the radio lol
Lol! It does!
Love it man
Pretty cool man. You've join us Honda owners now. We are the real HOG. Lol
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Yeah man that sounds is crazy. Not sure what it could be. 🤷🏽♂️
I don't know anything but sounds like the reverse idler gear (counter gear) is not fully disengaged. Fix your reverse.
Hmm.
After seeing this thing in person…. I have one thing to say….. I WANT IT!!!! Haha
You ride that beast like a champ
Lol. Thanks
was your grip coming off?
The correct phrase is, "well used".
ive had that sound from time to time but not since last year, if u find out what it is Id like to know
It's explained at the end
Let’s Go
Enjoy it while you can
I heard California is going to be the first to get rid of all gas powered vehicles. I hope not. You still got a great deal
@boltbucket is currently on the road with it. An up coming video ill talk about what was done to the bike. We went to Vegas, then we split off. He made his was to Colorado, Kansas, and OKC I believe.
@@RickyBobber holy cow I didn’t know he rode all that way!
Great movie reference! haha
Haha! Loads of quotes from Kingpin in my rotation 😆
Is it me or is the throttle grip coming off?
It was 😆. We changed them.
not speedo cable doesn’t change with speed or rpms
The forums said it can make a noise if there's a break somewhere in the cable
Damn it has reverse?
Haha used to!
Is it me or are the handle bars crooked?
They were definitely crooked 😄
@@RickyBobber 🤣
Yo. Did you donate this bike to Paralyzed Veterans of NV? It's doppelganger is for auction right now. I swear I saw the ad for this bike and almost snatched it but missed it.
What? No. Someone in Houston bought it. But maybe they did
Is it just me or is your alignment off. Your left arm is more forward when going straight.
Yep the handle bars were not straight. Good eye cause I didn't notice till after making this video. Update on the bike, it got sold in Houston where Mt Aussie friend left it with a friend of ours
this is just a scrib of some kind of iron or plastic. in this goldi, the cator engine will survive isho many kilometers
Frontfender broken?
No, wasn't broken
My 1991 Goldwing GL1500 SE has 250,000 km and going strong. I have restoration videos on my channel if your interested.
Ride safe.
Keep Goldwings sketchy!
Oh it's Sketchy
man clean your carb and syncro, change spark plug and air filter, you can ride 700000 miles with this bike
That thing is the definition of sketchy. You should sell it to Shadetree Surgeon when you are done with it. The Goldy is right up his alley! 😆
they dont call that a cal stop for nothing
If you added a thankful of gas, you doubled the value of the bike 😄.

Goldwing will be running when the Harley's a hunk of junk. well Harley started out that way anyhow as a hunk of junk
I got one 500k miles
Nice!
You and shade tree surgeon can hang out
We've hung out before, hes cool dude lots of good advice
omg ur throttle is falling off
It has new grips now
Cheehuuuuu
I know what's wrong with it... IT AIN'T GOT NO GAS IN IT
😆😆😆😆😆
You need to stop at stop signs, If not you will get a ticket to a hospital!
Where did I not? Never noticed
that is not a good sound !!
Nope. It isn't
