I've had a HD dresser for yrs sold it didn't have a bike for a while. I bought a Goldwing/94 model nice bike to ride. I did fine the stopping a bit fun at first I soon realised to apply rear brake when you come to a full stop other that the shafh drive was new to me but good to ride.👍🍻

I have had Wings sence I was 16! It's was a 1977 GL1000. And I have had 10# 1200s Wings and 8 GL 1500s my current Wing is a 1990 Goldwing SE in perl white 49,000 miles. Wings have NEVER NEVER LET ME DOWN, NEVER stranded me on the road. Sure there are BMWs if you can afford the parts I can't. Hands down I will always be on a Wing.

The GL 1500 is a fabulous bike to ride, you could not ask for more in a grand tourer and your bike is absolutely gorgeous.👍👍👍

I had 2 1500's and loved them. I have an 1800 now and love it. The 1500 and 1800 are different bikes, which is good. The 1500 is pure touring, the 1800 is more sporty, but still excellent for touring. They both are excellent.

Before I bought my 2020 Goldwing DCT Tour, I was really worried about the weight. I mean intimidated big time. This is the heaviest bike I have ever owned in 35 years of biking. Once I went on it and just reached 3 miles per hour, I could not believe how easy it was to run around. It felt as I was riding a scooter. Just incredible.

A DCT has been on my radar . How do you like the automatic ? Has it taken a while to get used to ?

@@Hi.Tech.Redneck It took me 2 weeks or so. The computer on the DCT will learn your riding. It take a bit time and it will be perfect. I really love mine. Your riding experience changes from one day to the next. I can't see myself going back. 3 years now, 16K and its superb. I recommend you to ride both and your brain will guide you , trust me. Listen to yourself only. Also, it takes a bit time to do short U turns. I had practiced in empty parking lots, a bit. Oil changes intervals are critical too. Kits are not expensive. You will have 2 filters to change. easy to do. Tour gets center stand.

Keeping in mind Goldwings from 88 - 94 though had " Low seats " the bike was still considered tall and made it hard for a lot of people to ride.
From 95 to 2000 ( the end of the 1500 ) they lowered the seat more making a bit more user friendly.
I had a 93 for 2 years, sold it.. regretted it, and now I have a 99 that once serviced will hopefully be back on the road again.

I’ve never been on a 1500 but the 2016 f6b and 22 tour ride great! They can go all day long! Since the engine is so low, the COG is low and makes it easy to ride

I’ve thought about a DCT for my next bike . Gotta love that Honda reliability!

I rode with a man with a 93 Gold Wing and two years ago he had 276,000 on it. this year he has 290,000 miles on it. They run forever. I also have one but it only has 74,000 on it.

      I like the way you say “ only “ 74,000 miles ! 😂🤣

First, this channel will not let me give you thumbs up! Why? I have floor boards on mine. I'm thinking same as you, want to replace to standard foot pegs!

    It's like riding a motorcycle...
    EXACTLY like a motorcycle.
    Then again, it would be.
