    I have the Kp watts link along with their 6 link setup. I have no complaints other than I think it's kinda ugly..just my opinion. You are right about the notch part. I had installed some notches from AVS prior to bagging my truck and when I went to install my watts link, I ran into a little bit of trouble. However the guy that designed that watts link and 6 link was able to make it work for me

    Thanks for the detailed video! I ordered mine right after I saw it. Quick question: My bars need the heim joints welded in and yours appear to have come welded in already (and look shorter than mine). Any advice on measuring them before welding in case I need to cut them down? I guess I'm wondering how do I know the length they should be, even though I know they are have some adjustability? Also, will the shorter pivot brackets, like yours, lessen my amount of travel...Or does it matter much?

    • @SIMPLE.C10
      @SIMPLE.C10  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Did you order the kit I had linked? If you did, you shouldn’t need to weld the heim joints in.
      Go to ride height and center your middle bar, meadure from center to center and make it an inch shorter for the watts bar.

  • @markymark3042
    @markymark3042 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    i was always taught the pivot bar should be level at mid travel as opposed to ride height. guess it really does not matter on a system that will not use the complete travel.

      I believe you are correct!

    • @SIMPLE.C10
      @SIMPLE.C10  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You’re correct, my “ride height” was the middle of travel for my truck. My rear bags will inflate 10 inches so I set it at 5 inches inflated.

  • @lolife999

    I thought the pivot link in the center was NOT suppose to be vertical at ride height/half travel.
    I though it was suppose to be angled 5 or 10 degrees
    With the bars parallel to the ground.

    • @SIMPLE.C10
      @SIMPLE.C10  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You’re right about the 5 degrees. At half travel my pivot point is about 5 degrees. My ride height is a little lower than my half travel which moves the bars slightly. The main factor in a watts link is that both rod sizes are equal and the angles are equal. As you saw in the video, by checking the center at all ride heights. As long as everything stays centered during travel then the middle pivot point angle isn’t a factor. I centered my middle pivot with the bar all the way compressed, knowing I could extend them to achieve the slight angle at half travel. I hope that makes sense and thanks for your comment!

    Great video. Was wondering if this is a universal kit or is it specific to the C-10? After doing some research, it is only mentioned for Chevrolets. As I have two Ford pick-ups I'm doing work on and would like to add a watts link to both of them, this kit caught my eye. Have a good one.

    Isn’t using a adjustable pan hard bar better then using the watts link? Watts link takes up a ton of space and it’s not like you’re making 1000 hp.

    • @SIMPLE.C10
      @SIMPLE.C10  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      A pan hard allows the rear end to shift left and right during suspension travel. A watts link will keep it centered at any height. It’s less about horsepower and more about stability during air ride travel. I’ve used panhard and it can work flawlessly in the right setup.
