I loved this song from the first time I heard it years ago. This version blew me away. I know that every performance is different, but Susan, Derek and company just keep getting better every time they play.
Yeah, isn't that unigue? Most bands if they get to such a level they just stay there or maybe relax and fall off... not these guys which is amazing. How do you improve on perfection? Just watch these good folks.
my mum passed away few days ago this song was her fav I remember my mum and dad singing and dancing to this song. Hopefully i will get to see them in UK soon
True art is timeless and can connect our hearts and souls, no matter in which universe we are living. God bless your parents, and long live Derek, Susan and their band. ❤️🌺🌸
Without the most moving song I've ever heard, I had my TV on one Sunday in 2017 and heard this beautiful voice coming out the TV, it was Susan singing MIH, I've been hooked ever since seen them five times in concert, just perfection, ❤🏴 😊😊
Listened and loved this many times but Derek's solo this time was amazing (!) ...really surpassed IMHO previous takes ...just amazing ...and Susan's singin' OH! be still my beating heart
Both nights were off the hook...but night 2 was quite possibly the best gig I have ever witnessed....jam all night....Los Lobos joining in...horns with Gabe....and Susan...and Jerry Douglas....well ya know what they say about Saturday night gigs!
I was there both nights. TTB absolutely crushed it as always! Can't wait for tickets to go on sale. Woot Woot! Hope they cover Marvin Gaye's "What's Goin' On" again 🥰
There are many live versions of the entire song: Midnight In Harlem by the Tedeschi Trucks band, all epic, all bring me to tears, one is omg TEN minutes long. Thank you FIL !
Was out there for their July ‘21 shows, Saturday we were drenched by freezing rain and hail storms for forty minutes, they came back and finished, Sunday night they were just great! I just came back from the two shows march ‘24, at the Hard Rock in Atlantic City…my ninth-tenth shows, will see the in Nashville in September!
Finally got tix for a show at the Mother Church ( Ryman Auditorium) in Nashville. No bad seats with just 2300…been twice since, same venue…I’m a fan for sure…two drummers, the Allman Bros Band lineage is strong in them. Derek Trucks is a virtuoso!
An alltime favourite. Always makes me wonder... though the mood is very Western, but the Grammar of this song is so very Indian Classical based. In my opinion, such a great example of East meets West. 🙏🙏
Hey, been seein' you, home band worlwide, now this toone had a Pharao Sanders beginnin' ( lp, Tauhid, song: lower egypt, uper egypt), one could strecht a little bit more with sax and Improvisational yum yum,...forget it, you is the best band what is around...keep on chuggin'..m
Hope you don’t mind but this song and the solo just gives me goosebumps, so I had a go at transcribing it on my channel. For all the guitar nerds out there 🙌🏻🎸
Love this band and this song, but I am not loving this trend toward dissonance characterizing the music as typified by the newest albums and the sax-guitar prologue to this song.
I just LOVE SUSAN, and i LOVE SUSAN AND DEREK TOGETHER!! I've gotta say, right around the 8 minute mark i felt like i was witnessing a private moment i accidently walked in on lol
Midnight in Harlem is one of those songs that you listen one time and right away they are in your top ten list of all time…
TTB rocks and rules!!!
If I could only listen to one song this is the one. TT For you I am grateful
Probably the best live act on the planet at the moment.
100% Theyve held that crown since the Allman Brothers
Couldn't agree more
I've never seen so many accurate superlatives for a live act, and deservedly so.

YES !
Top 10 best tunes ever
Checked one of the items on my lifetime to-do list: going to Red Rocks. Treated my son to this show last July. Outstanding!
I am treating my dad in Sept. to them when they play with Willie Nelson in Charlotte. He knows about TTB and I can't wait for him to experience a show
That’s awesome. Both of you.
Never fails to reach my heart, this song. All renditions of it have the magic
Yeah. Surprises me every time too because no one else and no other song seems to do it.
This song is pure magic! It moves me like very few songs ever have. Rarely has a band this perfect come around for our enjoyment. Priceless.
Every performance brings something new
Listened and loved this many times but Derek's solo this time was amazing (!)

Agreed on Derek’s solo!! 🔥🔥🔥
Just got tickets for 2023 Austin concert. Can’t wait. Hottest band out there touring right now. 💯🎶
Their love pushes their creativity. She is his Muse. You can feel it.
no matter which way you folks spin this tune it is undeniable!!!
Thanks for the post.
Like finewine you guys are mellower better. I can't get enough of yall over the years
Both nights were off the hook...but night 2 was quite possibly the best gig I have ever witnessed....jam all night....Los Lobos joining in...horns with Gabe....and Susan...and Jerry Douglas....well ya know what they say about Saturday night gigs!
Great performance! Susan's voice has a beautiful richness to it in this show, always wonderful and well done to all!
I was there both nights. TTB absolutely crushed it as always! Can't wait for tickets to go on sale. Woot Woot! Hope they cover Marvin Gaye's "What's Goin' On" again 🥰
How amazing is that! I have family living 12 minutes from there. I so want to see them there.
There are many live versions of the entire song: Midnight In Harlem by the Tedeschi Trucks band, all epic, all bring me to tears, one is omg TEN minutes long. Thank you FIL !

Their music touches the soul.
Brilliant!! Such a classic..from you guys..
Wow, 1st time hearing this & the band, wow !
Seeing them live in a few weeks… I’m already expecting to have a religious experience and if they play Midnight in Harlem it’s guaranteed.
Such a great performance! I wish I could see them live one day!💙✨
ME TOO!! 💙🎶😎
Thank you...
This is always so good!!!!!
I got to see them in Atlanta 2023. ❤️

Really good version of their classic. Susan has reshaped the vocals and they sound tremendous. The camera work, direction and editing are outstanding.
Thanks!
Love it have to have it daily.

So sorry for your loss. Beautiful memories to cherish 💙🫂
So very beautiful, moving!
Wow. Best rendition yet.

Marvelous.

Fell into this rabbit hole 🕳 i like it here gonna hang out for a while ❤
My freedom song. He was born to love me. I was raised to be his fool
Long may you Roll on those Soulful Wheels
Come on that’s derrick trunks. He’s just warming up.😅 this guy is a beast on that guitar. 🎉

That solo was just insane
It's not my favorite song of theirs but I'm always happy to hear what they do with the song!
Brilliant.
❤❤❤❤❤
Beautiful, inspired and inspiring, despite the tuning between sax and guitar being slightly off in the beginning.
Derek Trucks, hands of an Angel!
yep
It appears this was professionally shot, so does that mean there's a live DVD coming out? There's nothing like TTB at Red Rocks.
❤
When u come to brazil?
derek makes the solo different every time dang!
Oh MAN! This is awesome! Is this Red Rocks?
Yes. 💜
I’ve been on a Tedeschi Trucks diet for a while, it just gets sweeter. 😊
This great song was written by TTB member Mike Mattison.
💙🌙✨
Where do you rate performing at red rocks?
Oh honey darlin ride that train
Шедевр🫶
Like the Cardigans meets the Wall of Sound
✌️♥️💡😇💯🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶
Ride that train
Hope you don’t mind but this song and the solo just gives me goosebumps, so I had a go at transcribing it on my channel. For all the guitar nerds out there 🙌🏻🎸
I had a commercial mid song... kinda killed the ambience of the tune
Love this song love this group but not how they start the song especially live. I csn do without that intro and I am a truckie
Love this band and this song, but I am not loving this trend toward dissonance characterizing the music as typified by the newest albums and the sax-guitar prologue to this song.
Sax flat
Sharp, actually
I just LOVE SUSAN, and i LOVE SUSAN AND DEREK TOGETHER!! I've gotta say, right around the 8 minute mark i felt like i was witnessing a private moment i accidently walked in on lol
