We saw ya'll in Austin with our 7 year old at the time... He is almost 12 now. One of the best memories ever! You called out my husband that had our son on his shoulders and said, "I see we have a Rad Dad in the audience tonight.". He still brags about that to this day! Thank you for such a wonderful memory. We hope to see ya'll again soon!!!!!
That person who helps others simply because it should or must be done, and because it is the right thing to do, is indeed without a doubt, a real superhero.
I take hamburger to a neighbor that is broke. He has no running water or a heater for the winter. Bring him clothes, groceries and meat to survive. I'm not well off myself or I'd help more people.
2004: listened to this song on a bus with a friend, went to take an english course, and we were only about 15yo. Such a memory, now i dunno where he is and dont even remember what his name is, i just forget. But this song brings back that moment and his face again... Lol

This may be the most nostalgic song ever for me. It’s like the 2000’s era materializes around me every time I play it. I was just a kid (“no older than my son”)
I still remember seeing this opening night. I’m 29 now. This movie and trilogy will live with me forever. No Way Home was such a cathartic experience for Spidey fans.
It's funny how songs are just that when you are young but fast towards and after some time you have life experiences and the lyrics hit deep. You attribute different experiences to what the core of song is, and then the song truly comes to life.
Geez, all the nostalgia is hitting me hard in the feels. Was second year in college in 2004, one of the best summers I had. Watched Spiderman 2 like 5 times in the theaters. Wish I could sit down with everyone who is talking about nostalgia and just listen to their stories from 2004.
Hey dashboard confessional, really whoever wrote this particular song specifically this is to you. This is the one baby, the song that got me through all the hard times and continues to do so. THANK YOU. The lyrics are beautiful and the music.
I had completely forgot that Spider-Man 2 ended with this song until I watched it again last week after maybe 15 years. What a perfect time capsule of that time period.

The memories of driving around with high school friends and listening to this song, deciding our next move, and replaying it over and over. Wow, brings me back.
I can't say how important is this song in my life. And I can't really imagine the moment when this song is going to hit me for the last time. I don't want it to happen soon. I don't want to cry forever.

Through all the tragedy and the heartbreak, nothing ever stops Spider-Man from triumphing over evil. His unwavering compassion guides Peter Parker through every battle and has endeared him to millions of readers across the globe.
Well, It's not exactly like he just got his powers taken, it was he HIMSELF who lost the powers because he didn't believe he was needed OR that he was even WANTED as a hero. He didn't even know what that meant anymore, after what happened with Green Goblin/Norman who he actually looked up to in a way. Someone who he respected as a leading professional in his field. Same with Doc Oc in a lot of ways. He looked up to Octavius, thought he was brilliant at what he was trying to accomplish but realized that Doc Oc couldn't stop himself.
This movie came out when popular bands like Dashboard Confessional were huge, Spider-Man 2 was like a teen drama but with superhero elements, when this song was made specifically for this movie, it was the perfect fit, it describes Peter’s love life that didn’t work out because of his role as a superhero, it got in the way of him trying to live a normal life with the girl he loves
Spider-Man 2 has sensational special effects integrated with a first-rate script and outstanding performances to illuminate the characters and tell the story and to show us something about ourselves.
This song is pure early 2000's vibes.

LYRICS:
Hope dangles on a string
Like slow-spinning redemption
Winding in and winding out
The shine of it has caught my eye
And roped me in
So mesmerizing so hypnotizing
I am captivated
I am
Vindicated
I am selfish
I am wrong
I am right, I swear I'm right
Swear I knew it all along and
I am flawed
But I am cleaning up so well
I am seeing in me now the things you swore you saw yourself
So clear like the diamond in your ring
Cut to mirror your intention
Oversized and overwhelmed
The shine of which has caught my eye
And rendered me so isolated
So motivated
I am certain now that
I am
Vindicated
I am selfish I am wrong
I am right, I swear I'm right
Swear I knew it all along and
I am flawed
But I am cleaning up so well
I am seeing in me now the things you swore you saw yourself
So turn up the corners of your lips
Part them and feel my fingertips
Trace the moment, fall forever
Defense is paper thin
Just one touch and I'd be in too deep now
To ever swim against the current
So let me slip away
So let me slip away
So let me slip away
So let me slip against the current
So let me slip away (4x)
Vindicated
I am selfish I am wrong
I am right, I swear I'm right
Swear I knew it all along
And I am flawed, but I am cleaing up so well
I am seeing in me now the things you swore you saw yourself
Slight hope
It dangles on a string
Like slow spinning redemption
