Zach Johnson, the “Millennial Farmer” is a 5th-generation farmer who’s spent his life growing, working, and learning on his family’s farm. His wit and dry sense of humor appeal to children and adults alike. A product of the millennial generation, his appreciation of new technology blends with his old-fashioned work ethic, and he offers a unique ability to deliver his message in a way that resonates with lifelong farmers as well as those with no knowledge of agriculture. With growing consumer awareness about where their food comes from, Zach has identified the need for an independent voice from the front lines of agriculture. Zach actively promotes agriculture by sharing his day-to-day experiences in the agriculture world while providing farmer-to-farmer education to help facilitate a collaborative conversation between farmers and the public.

It’s fun hearing some history of the farm. Thanks for sharing
My Great Grandpa came from Sweden with his 13 brothers and sisters in 1913. They settled in Slayton, MN. South West corner of the state. He was a farmer, corn and sheep. He had 200 acres and also plowed the roads with horses for the county in the winter. He married my great Grandma, her family was from Norway. His last name was Johanson, there were so many Johnson's and Johanson's in the area he changed his name to Fredrick's. My grandma married my grandpa, he was in the Air Force and that's why we live in Louisiana now. Good memories visiting the farm when I was a kid. Anyway, love your channel, don't miss a single episode, I guess because #1 it's good but also it brings back memories since your in Minnesota too!
As an old farm boy I value boring days. It’s nice to run and not have surprises.
The only content better than what you're showing is when you, ,your Dad, Jim and Onyx are hanging out. That's always fun.
May your whole season be 'boring', I call that peaceful and drama free :)
Keep at it Zach, proud of your son,you have done a good job with that young man.
I love your dad. He just keeps on keeping on. Don’t get any better thanks, Zach.
I can’t believe Onyx is driving, semi what a great kid. He is willing to learn and appears he enjoys it
I still enjoy the videos when harvest goes smoothly for you.
I mean...I wouldn't mind watching 30mins of the camera switching between equipment every couple mins and just watching and hearing the machines work. Keep at it sir, love watching your channel regardless if it's "boring"
The best way to clean the debris off your header and feeder housing and not get covered in dust is the Onyx broom.
Glad this harvest is going so good after such a funky spring and summer. Also love the fact that you are able to still be farming heritage family land. I live 6 miles from the land my 3rd great grandfather settled in 1796 when it was owned by Spain but most of it has long been sold off. Fortunately, 40 acres of it is still intact and is a city park where his original cabin has been restored. I hope it never leaves your family, it's a wonderful legacy for your children and you are teaching them well. Love the channel.
So cool to see Onyx driving the 18 wheeler.
Lots of harvesting in dry, windy conditions this year. Be sure to keep the combines clean folks. Already some stories of fires out there.
I watch cause i grew up on a farm, when my step dad left i didnt get to farm anymore. So now im building my on little farm. Keep on keppin on
Thanks for sharing some of your family history and tha acquisition of your farm ground thru the years. Keep up the great Land Management. 🚜😇😊
Onyx was a boy just a few videos back. Now he acts like a young man. You must be proud 🫡
Hi from Sweden! My ancestors moved from Sweden near to where you are located in about the same years as yours.
Swedes unite!
A "boring day" for you is still content for us Zach! Keep the video's coming!!!
Not gonna lie, even that 'boring' content is neat to watch. Love seeing how things play out, good or bad (Although good is better for those involved xD)
Thanks for your yield comments it indicates if tou are farming for real or just gathrring You Tube content. The reasons for variation in a field is great when following the farming part. Average yields are boring but occur often
Awesome to hear facts about your ancestors, sounds like Six Generations? We are fourth generation from Germany. Zach many Rabbits or Pheasant are Harvest time?
FYI: they make a add on for that wind bar to keep all that trash from building up on the feeder house
I'm playing farming simulator while watching this on the millennial farmer map
I do that a lot
In other words you're an addicted MF'r? 🤣 🤣
Same
Hell yeah!!! Playing FS22 rn too
Best way to do it 💯🤌🏼
Onyx looks like he is getting comfortable driving the semi.
Here in mid missouri we are having a good year for crop but a bad year with storage.
I love harvest time! The content keeps coming! Thank you for all you do, Zach!
It’s always the animals with the unusual video shots!! Dogs, gotta love em!!
Your welcome! Cheers.
Harvesting goes smoothly when your equipment is in top shape back in 1979 we ran a gleaner f2 and 6620 john deere combine they were both new and built with quality that you don't see anymore we never had a breakdown in 2700 acres of corn and soybeans and help our neighbors cut another 500 hundred acres of soybeans without ever stopping
Brilliant channel. Onyx is a proud and confident young man driving the big stuff. Always love the vids and you guys work so hard. I'm in UK and not even a farmer... looking forward to the car racing, Zach 👍
With Zak taking about the 40' & 45' headers got me thinking. Back in the mid-1960's my uncle, a small grain farmer, used a 10' swather for combining. His neighbor bought a new New Holland combine. It would take 2-12' swaths and framers thought how a combine could not possibly get any larger.
Best regards on harvest like all farming family it's the weather we or you are watching and equipment Zach
Best time of year for us Millennial youtube farmers.
In my 29 years of I/T the boring days were the best days. The worst were when your bosses phone was ringing on the not so boring days. With Aloha...
Zach I appreciated the UPDATING!
I really enjoy watching your progress as harvest season goes on
I started itching when you was unhooking the header lol
I've heard that muffler work is exhausting too.
It's good to hear Jim's name in the mix again !
Great video good to see y'all
Yeahhhhhhhh Thanks Editor........That looked Delish!!!!!!!
Can hook up the header trailer behind the harvester. So you can pull everything from one field to another.
I like watching combining!
Saw on the weather where yall have hit a super warm spell for a week or so. Hopefully means yall have an awesome harvest!
Watching you and Welker farms harvest, I do see a benefit to the red headers not needing a trailer to go into transport mode. But I could also see issues if the wheels fail to lock in either transport or harvest mode.
Thanks
Good day! 👍
Great seeing the three Generations and Jim working together.
Hasn’t rained much in Minnesota since the beginning of September. Good for harvesting.
Nah boring is a pleasant change after all the storms we've had 109kmh gust up here in Dramatoba
Not sorry! The BEST sort of day!
9:40 the really exciting thing will be seeing that new dryer running my god i cant wait to see that thing rumble and make noise
More than happy to send all the wind from SW Fl to dry out the beans.
Hey Zach you ever tried dragging chain to keep your windows cleaner it seems to work fairly well for us
Never seen them pull the header cart with the combine itself.
Really excited to see how the rest of harvest goes guys. wishing you guys good luck on yields and weather for the next month!!!
I always like hearing about the crops(And seeing them) Thanks. How tall is Onyx now? Doesn't look like he's having to stretch in the Semi
Now such thing as luck. Devine providence.
Blessings
Wouldn’t cutting beans at a slight angle be better for the sickle blades? Use them all. Otherwise use a narrow corn header lol
It’s not complaining; it’s the life of an American farmer. 😊
I personally like seeing the machines work.
Morning from Australia!
Never count your beans before they are threshed 😂
believe it or not i love it when your day is boring, great calm farming content
Still makes good punts
Great to hear some of the history. Need to bring back Onyx cam if he is comfortable with it!
😄👍👍👍👍👍 regards from Sweden
As millennials, why do our dad's wear the yellow gloves?
Hello from Sweden
I am glad you had a boring day. I don't like to see damage to farms or equipment. Have a great harvest.
It is a GOOD DAY, when no break downs farming
👍 thanks
WHEN Y'ALL SHIP OUT BEANS....BLEND THE "TRASHIE" BEANS WITH YOUR CLEAN BEANS TO PREVENT DOCAGE ...😊😅😊😅
You have a talented editor!
To bad its not a great year, keep up the good work
Working on exhaust is extremely exhausting
Even a boring day is a good day of farming
Im very glad to see your soybean harvest going well. boring is good! at least your not a farmer in Florida right now haha
I am watching this video as hurricane. Milton comes to palm harbor Florida
I'm watching in Williston Florida, listening to the wind and rain outside, gonna be a long night
Sending prayers to y'all in Florida
God bless yall
Do you ever not pay attention and push the wrong button on all that complicated dryer and conveyor system?
There were 2 views when I started watching. End of video almost 5000. Good job MF crew.
No News Is GOOD Ganews!!
You need a gate on the wind bar to open for blowing off the top of the feeder house.
They could do like what ivers farm does with there combines by putting a air system in that can be triggered from the cab
That’s why we watch to follow the whole crop process so we want to know how they yield etc, that’s not complaining, that’s just farming wherever you are on the globe
Spinning blue ball
Jim getting stuck a definite yes! … tornado 🌪️ a definite NO! No auntie em .
THE BEANS ARE FEEDING PERFECTLY INTO THE HONEY BEE HEADER 😅😊😅😊🎉🎉❤
Hey, you should invent a folding bean head...just for the show...and the fans. 😂
Let's goo another video!!!!
i needed to see a good day
I'm always looking for an update.
Only is your right hand man now farm around and find out❤😊😊
Let’s go keep up the good work
When my friend’s son took his call driving test, got chewed cause he drove too good!!
Fun fact: Millennial Farmer, may or may not, be related to the Swedish Chef, from The Muppets. You decide!
Leaf blower!!! And blow it off before disconnecting.. it takes 2 minutes!!
I’m disappointed when you missed your comment, “ Dust in The Wind….all we are is dust in the wind “. Perfect Dad joke teed up and you missed.
Man that’s dusty, even I got dust in my eyes😂
Boring is good. It gives you time to think.
Rural farm boys and girls👍💪. I see ya at the wheel Onyx(sp?)!
