You guys should demo the Deere hinged Draper header. I think you would really like it. We replaced all 3 of our headers last year with 45 foot hinged drapers and they do an amazing job. They pick up twisted up and or flat heavy crops perfect. And breeze through standing crops. Very impressive header.

Grain bins are built tough, but they do have limits. It all depends on the design, capacity, and what kind of weather conditions they face...

Serious question - I don't understand why more bins don't have level indicators installed. They're cheap, reliable and last. At the very least put one at the top. I'd want several past the half-way point. Instead we see farmers overfilling and constantly climbing ladders to see what's full.

Why do you combine at
an angle against the rows?
To keep the wear on the sickle more even, plus they feed in nicer
Doing that will help even out the wear on the cutting blades and guards. The only downside is when the snouts of the header transition from one row to the next, they can shake loose beans from the pods.

All my bins have them, totally useless. First year they are dirty, and they are far away from the hatch. Limit sensor is the best.
