Hey, Ash! I'm one of the people who worked on VTM Bloodlines' Unofficial Patch. VTM Bloodlines mostly requires the use of the community-made Unofficial Patch to function these days, and it comes in two flavours: Basic (bugfixes only) and Plus (restored content, balance tweaks, quality-of-life improvements), which you choose on installation of the UP. The character sheet cheat you mention can only be done with the restored Histories that are available in the Plus version of the patch. Since the UP crew doesn't have a way to prevent this exploit from happening with our access to the game's code, we repurposed some of Smiling Jack's dialogue to proverbially wag our fingers at the player instead. So this particular tweak wasn't Troika's doing. :)
Point 1 - Jules deserved it. Point 2 - the best way around the Link being called a thief thing, is to name yourself "Murderer" - at which point, Thief will be an upgrade...
Quick note on the Witcher one since I didn't do any exploit but did confess to taking stuff from peoples houses, if you answer mostly that you were an honest man who earned the gold legitimately he will give you a certificate saying what a virtuous man you are. Was really funny to see.
bloodlines has a third option if you're playing a Malkavian..."Malkav made me cheat." Choose this and you don't get chewed out, just pity for being so broken lol
You forgetting she just said they had to use commenters to even know about these and these is a video that Outside Xbox has done and you guess it they also have a commenters edition (which they done first) as well.
A few others: - GTA San Andreas: If you input a cheat code, the game warns you about consequences. Your consequence? You can never get 100% completion. - Warcraft 2: Cheating during a campaign gets you branded as "Rank: Cheater!" instead of its normal ascendant ranking (from "slave" to "god").
@@dizzyheads It's coded into the game that, once you cheat, your displayed completion percentage can never go above a certain number (I think it's something like 99.15%, but I could be wrong). This means that, even if you do everything required of you for 100% completion, the number displayed will never be 100%.
The think with the Witcher 3 is that 35k seemed like a lot in the hearts of stone dlc, but after making several sets of grandmaster gear from blood and wine that money will soon be gone
I was sitting on 60000 by the end of the story. Then paid for the rune guys upgrades. Then grandmaster stuff. After that I barely had 4000 to my name by the end of blood and wine. That's economics kids. 100+ hours of work for 5 hours of spending.

that last one reminds me of something in Castlavania 64: in various locations, you can find "the contract", and use it to summon the "demon salesman", who will sell you useful items. in fact, i think it's the ONLY way to acquire the best type of health-restoring item, which restores you to MAX health. BUT...if you spend more than 30,000 gold, total, the "fine print" on the contract will cause the demon to turn into a big monster and attack you near the beginning of the final level! it's a little disappointing, however. it's nearly identical to the "death" boss you fight in the "clock room" level when playing as Reinheart. ONE extra type of attack.
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Rollgoal At Hena's fishing hole -- not a euphemism, she literally runs an area where you can catch fish with lures while riding a boat -- there's a minigame called Rollgoal. The idea is that you pay 5 Rupees to roll a marble on a path from one side to the other by tilting the game using the Wii's motion controls or the Gamecube's Control Stick. If the marble falls off the path, you lose; you win that stage by getting to the goal, and gain 10 Rupees for a profit of 5. Clear all of her Rollgoal stages, and you earn the right to use the Frog Lure, which is the best lure Hena won't take away from you. (Alluding to the Sinking Lure, which is the best period, but you're not allowed to use it with her in the boat.) (Also, you can play the stages again with a reduced time limit, but there's apparently no further reward aside from Rupees.) Partway through the set of stages, the game introduces ramps, and the last stage has a point where a combination of a ramp and a narrow gap allows you to skip most of the path. Your reward for cleverly bypassing it? "Come on! You know that's cheating! The rules say you have to roll it on the path!" (I only know about this from watching someone else's video, and they cut to later in their attempts to clear this stage, so I don't know if the game counts it as a loss and you have to pay another 5 Rupees, or if it lets you try again on the same payment.)
Speaking of fetch quests... If you skip the running around related to the frying pan in the original Fable and skip straight to the end you end up with the worst weapon in the game instead of one of the best....

On prey on my first walkthrough i did the treasure hunt legit but my playthroughs afterwards i did look it up a little bit from laziness but never got that chip and still got the chip rewards for the treasure hunt

Tomb raider 2 is not just her exploding... The last level is based in Lara's Home, with extremely limited ammo and health packs. And because it's in Lara's Home, the all weapons cheat or level skip cheat don't work!! So even if you skip your way through the game, you can't finish it unless you're a skilled Tomb Raider! 😉

And exploding Lara was just another joke by them, but they disabled all cheats in the Lara's Home training level. But then they hit you with the finale being in Lara's Home and your house is under attack. You can't cheat to get more weapons/ammo or skip it! 😈
Here's the thing, we buy the games with our money, we should be able to play the game how we see fit. And yes, I realize on the flip side, you have the developers saying we spent hours making the game, so play it properly.
