Pushing people off cliffs in BG3 is a double-edged sword. Yes its basically an instakill if they're high enough. Buuuuut the issue with pushing someone off a cliff/bridge/etc... means you can't loot the body afterward.

Here's one that few know about: Lufia the Legend Returns: All fights in this game are in fact winnable, even the fights you are supposed to lose. Win these fights always results in exceedingly rare gear. The catch: You must go out of your way to win these fights and some you need help from the RNG gods to deal enough damage in time.
Many of the Renegade interrupts in Mass Effect 2 and 3 can be quite satisfying. Speaking of interrupting a monologue, there's a scene in ME2 where you can shoot a fuel tank killing the enemy that was currently monologuing.

However the worst incident was with the court mage in Whitewater, when I planned my new armor and jewelry sets (each piece with two enchantments) and that son of a birch just wouldn't stop talking! The same three uninteresting lines over and over...
That's a funny way of saying what a developer is, I'd have thought that would be the premise however I digress due to lots and lots of triple a games having big companies but lacking as you say substance xx
