Mike fabricated the whole car himself. The old engine (seen in the video here) is just 446 cubic inches. It has a stock block, stock steel factory crank, forged pistons. Stock ProMax heads, un-ported. The engine made 1461HP on alcohol. That's 3.2HP per cubic inch!
Mike has since purchased an aftermarket block and is aiming for 2000HP! See the video for drag racing action plus a few photos of the setup and new build currently in the works.

How come not many people seem to turbo the W9 headed A8 engines. to me they seem like a strong block and what do they do to get a powerglide and a starter motor on these blocks. cheers
Hi Az thanks for your question. Not sure why there aren't too many turbo A8 engine conversions. As they are a sprint car block, the engines don't sit in the factory or stock location entirely. This would require a complete custom turbo kit. The small block 727's bolt up, therefore an adaptor kit for a small block Mopar engine, for the powerglide will do the trick. The starter motors bolt to the bell housing for these engines.
Y'all did it rite w/ mpfi & tt with computer it's really the only way to harness the up with custom tunes what computer ya use with that setup ?

Do you guys sell just your own brand turbo headers?
Hi Kerry thanks for your question. We're currently at the planning stages of making a complete, bolt on turbo kit. The kit will come with turbo headers, intercooler and pipe work. Just add your turbo, waste gate and blow off valve and you're good to go. We will sell the headers separately if that's all you need. What exactly are you after?

400 block truck. Turbo headers would be great. Everything else is pretty easy to make
Leaving the turbo intakes unfiltered is a trip to disaster.

No no that was the burn out, it purposefully didn't hook. Except for the take off. That wasn't planned. My grandfather has been working his butt off on this and it's finally working right. Happy to see all the support
