I had the opportunity to share the stage with Mr. Gordon. A true gentleman, musically generous, and a genuinely fun guy. As a fellow trombonist, the entire gig was a master class for me. One of the best moments of my musical life. Thank you, Mr. Gordon.
Reminiscent (esp. energy wise) of the trading between Les Paul and Nat Cole from some 77 years ago! …and of course Emmet and his band are amazing as always!
Another great performance, from the trio and so great to hear Wycliffe Gordon and Adrian Cunningham join them,.. Jazz Giants, Thankyou Gents you made my week a whole lot lighter.
Wowza! That was fantastic- Love that horn line - Emmett - that was awesome - you’re solo had a lot of Red G and Wynton K going on there for me - dynamite!
Some might find Wycliffe a little corny, maybe a bit of a novelty, but he gives you a deep dive into popular music and manages to smoke any preconceived notions of jazz you might hold dear. Let me just say, every year he does Thanksgiving at Dizzy's Club Coca Cola. After seeing Emmett, Kyle, and Russell with Wycliffe, my wife and I plan on being there for Thanksgiving.
I'm a simple man - I see a new EC video, I click
That Bass ! My God, I'm speechless.😶
Wycliffe is really something else man

man everyone here is killing, the ears on Adrian during the trading is pretty mindblowing
This doesn’t happen to me often but I’m speechless! That was just fuckin’ great! Thanks for sharing this!
Incredible performance by everyone and Emmet just played one of the greatest solos over the blues
Amazing. Duke Ellington's small groups vibes. Masterful 🎶

Good joob
What mouthpiece is Wycliffe using here? Anyone know?
I’ve been wondering about this for years
He Plays on a Pickett Mouthpiece. I use to play on one of those Models when I purchased one of his products many years ago.
I think he has his own custom line
D' entrée, l' exposé du thème est assez remarquable ........
They can't do the intro properly.
Doing something ‘properly’ is highly subjective in the jazz world.
